  1. The more you do it the more addicted you will become.Just to let you know Welcome to the board.Hope we can help you.
  2. ^ Whew! It must take a lot of breath to say that all at once
  3. The kut tail is just like a senko except it shimmies and swims more. The 6.5 inch looks dead like a minnow profile coming through the water when rigged weightless.
  4. That can also be remedied by finding some different jigheads with bigger, longer,or wider gap hooks. That said I have had success with paca and rage craws, gambler bb cricket, brush hogs in both sizes, zoom speed craws and critter craws, yammy creatures and flappin hogs, yum wooly hog tail, senkos, sizmic toads.
  5. Trust me that was noticed immediately upon catching those fish. I'm beginning to think that with the small size of that pond and the size of the bass they are probably eating up the small bait fish pretty quickly. I'm not sure what needs to be done whether we need to remove any smaller bass we catch or transplant the big ones to another pond that is close to there and much larger in size? Any recommendations? :-/ A pond that small yes theres a very high probability that they are going to be skinny or stunted. Don't think they are stunted yet since there are some sizable ones in there but they're probably short of food.If you plan on frequenting the place then start yanking the dinks out first. Check your state laws to see if it is legal to transport the bigger fish from other lakes. There are other things you can do such as stocking forage and such but that can be very expensive if it isn't your "pet" pond on your own property then that isn't a very good option. Best advice in my opinion would be to take some smaller ones out and enjoy the place for what it is and see if nature takes its course
  6. I think it is kind of an off the wall idea but theres a whole lot of fish caught by people doing off the wall weird things. Try it. The worst that can happen is it won't work along with the other 80% of the tackle we carry at any given time ;D
  7. It's a versitile bait. If you can think of a way to rig it then it will probably work. But what works best in your situations?
  8. They trying to make you pay for them? ;D I joined for the magazines awhile back....I have terribly regretted doing so.They sent me books,i didn't request or want and expected me to return them every time i got one.I got sick of running to the post office wasting gas.So one day i just didn't return some stupid poster and a coin they sent me and started getting "harassed".After a year of this BS it seems to finally stop and died down.I'm still getting the magazines....which i don't understand...my one year subscription should be up a year ago. They better not send me a bill for it either.Everything i get from them now just goes straight to the trash can...I don't even bother opening anything. Yep, they sent me three "free" magazines and a letter basically stating that I am under no obligation to join. I guess the catch was that I was supposed to mail back a card marking "cancel my membership". Well as far as I am aware I never joined! After 3 months of harrassing letters they turned in a claim to a debt collector for $25 which of course I have never paid. Now, here's the real kicker. Two years later they are sending me the same bulls--t in the mail about joining and trying "free gifts" : I have already been on the phone with these jokers a few times about this crap and now the mail finally stopped coming. My girlfriend used her card to place an order to BPS for me at christmas and now suddenly she is getting the same shady membership packets and she hasn't a care in this world for fishing at all! They are obviously very desperate and collude with bass pro and other companies for member address information. > If your a member and enjoy it,more power to you. I personally would like to get a hold of some of the head honchos and ring their necks.
  9. x2, or a trickworm
  10. This is interesting. I have never tried pitching/flipping a lipless crank, but it makes total sense. Although I'm sure you have to clean the trebles off a lot. I'm def. gonna try this. Given the correct circumstances it can be deadly.Spoons, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits can be used in the same manner. If the cover conditions allow then do it where everyones else is chucking plastic. 8-)
  11. To keep with the title of the thread the single most underrated method I can think of is simply putting a nail in the back of senko type baits. People are so hung up on fishing that thing weightless, but thats okay I catch more fish doing something that they aren't.
  12. You sure that pond isn't located in Ethiopia?Get that bass something to eat : Just kidding you man.Good catch regardless. They're all fun.
  13. That is considered proper english nowadays.Don't ya know? :
  14. Agree. It is some killer stuff.Man it's been a long minute since I had some....
  15. florida bass wont hit it.... x 1000,finish that quote with "worth a sh--". I hate the jitterbug, night, day, rain or sun. I like a buzzbait, spook, and believe it or not white flukes are the real deal for me in the rain or heavy overcast
  16. Water clarity plays a part in you color selection. My top must haves include: Paca craws-One of the most versitile plastics ever made senko types in 5-6 inchers trickworms or straight tails Yum ribbon tails in 7 and 10 inches. Yamamoto 6.5 inch kut tails I carry 5 billion different types of plastics but I am sure if I just had a few bags of these in a small variety of colors that I could go anywhere and do just fine. 8-)
  17. I've been referring to it as rigging Wayne style. 8-)
  18. Out of the choices I said fluke. The bait can be worked top to bottom. You did however say "shad jumping around" in which case my first choice would be a topwater walker or popper.
  19. Trickworm with a small nail in the rear deadsticked.
  20. Yep, I always figured that is the reason they are even there, as a quick reference for which way you need to hook it.
  21. Build it.video it.post it.
  22. I am actually not a big fan of them but I am getting very partial to the culprit 12 incher. It's a pretty nice worm.
  23. I made one out of a 10 ounce egg sinker and some 100lb power pro.
  24. I caught that one. ;D
