I've heard the saltwater guys around here use a small jighead and grub,spoon,or even live bait. Right now in Florida we can still bass fish no problem but they will not take a topwater for nothing,I was trying to figure out something new to show em.

Those baits can do it all.They even make a nice presentation sometimes just buzzed weightless or with a 1/32 weight over the top.

Hey fellas,wasnt to sure how to word it or search it,I know stuff has been posted before. Been wanting to give it a try removing the rear treble on a Tw lure and add a length of line, and then a smaller bait to grab the attention of curiuos bass underneath.Was wanting a few opinions from anyone who has done this for 2 reasons: 1)What kind of Tw works good for this tactic?Popper,dog,prop? 2)A few opionions on what kind of trailor baits work well? thanks, J

True though that the best choice a lot of time is a loud colored one.For example the dt series chart/purple back or parrot....Deadly!

Depending on the thickness of the frog,owner 5/0 wide gap plus,but usually a5/0 owner riggin hook.If i need a little weight on the thick stuff stanley makes a screw in frog hook with a keel type weight on the front in different sizes.(cant post a pic now,I'm at work but of course all I'm thinking about is bass LOL)

x2, and I posted the first comment about my buddy because this is a guy who brags when he catches more dinks than me but fights a fish like a 6yr old with with a donald duck zebco.But at least we have fun,thats important.I gave up on teaching him how to land a fish,to each his own. I have the bronzeye frog and am kinda dissappointed.Maybe I'm just not too good with those kind of lures but it seems to me to just be a piece of dead plastic floating in the water,no action even if you try to apply and for 10.00 a piece!? No I cant walk the frog with it like I can the snagproof ones.

Oh forgot one:Caught about a 6 inch crappie on a 5in senko carolina rigged.kinda strange indeed

L_O_L I got a buddy I fish with often who tries to land bass just like that.Even if it is a 2lber his drag is screaming while hes winding on 15 lb braid for christ sake! Drives me up a fricken wall! Thanks for sharing...I am now sending this video to my buddy so he can see how ridiculous it is
