  1. First you need to buy a Crawfish whistle........
  2. I just watched the Sopranos where Paulie and Christopher were lost in the woods after trying to kill the guy who ".....killed 16 Czechoslovakians and was an interior decorater". I was peeing my pants!!!!! ;D
  3. Welcome fellow New Englander!!!!
  4. Wdy.. I looked at the Suffix (I like their braid). What is the difference between Elite and Seige?? I read both packs.....??????
  5. Hey all, I have not used mono line in years. This year I am thinking about introducing it back into the line-up for top waters etc. I bought some Trilene Maxx (12 lb.) the other night and spooled one of my casting reels with it. VERY difficult to work with. I used alot of KVD L+L on it, and I hope that will make a difference. Anyone use this line on a regular basis? Any suggestions on the "best" mono out there is greatly appreciated!!!!! Alan (bassnajr)
  6. Good luck!!!!! Remember, You already have what it takes to succeed: A positive attitude, a work ethic, and the will to make it work. Take those and kick butt!!!!! Congrats
  7. Again....I say...... C-O-U-R-T-E-S-Y-
  8. I didn't call him stupid...I said I didn't think anyone would "be" that stupid. But you are right, I changed my post unlike the original poster.
  9. Thank you cart...... I think my post is more about the lack of etiquette and consideration than anything else. These things should be "common knowledge" and you shouldn't need the internet to find them. JMO :-?
  10. "hate to say it but why visit a fishing forum when you are waiting to watch results that are hours old? I was 10 mins behind and refused to open the site...haha" I never thought anyone would be that dis-courteous to put that in a post...never mind the WINNER'S NAME in the title..... B :-/ut that's just me.
  11. Thanks alot...some of us were waiting to watch tonight at 10:00 on ESPN2. Anyone got any surprise parties you want this guy to screw up while he's at it? Unbelievable!!! :
  12. Probably want to get on the "tee-vee" and hold up a sign advertising their pig farm.
  13. What is it with people having to move in on spots during a professional fishing tournament, especially The Classic? Put it all over the web that guys are fishing Beeswax Creek, and a few "locals" find it necessary to move in and fish it....RIGHT NOW!! I don't want to hear that "public waters" crap. How about common courtesy?? Yeah, I know, it's there town, they fish there all the time, they have a club tournament next week and they are "pre-fishing" for. For one week, can't they just sit back and enjoy the show that has come to town...and the LARGE amount of revenue it brings in. :
  14. Funny you say that. I took the W@M back today and grabbed the CarbonLite. The Skeet rod was too heavy with the reel on it, and the "whippyness" was just to much for me. Alan (bassnajr)
  15. I LOVE YOUR MOVIES!!!!!
  16. Yes...I stand corrected. The whole rod "bows" I guess you would say. The Skeet rod is "whippy" at top and bends quite a way down the blank. The CL was "light" in weight but stiff. I have never owned a rod like the W@M before so I hope I described it right. Thanks for the correction.
  17. If it is flouro/or mono I would respool. I move my braid from reel to another if I can. The other end is NEW!!!
  18. Whippy is a good word for them Rick....it's what I said to the BPS guy. Better to cast light cranks etc. with he said. It would be nice if he's right.
  19. Hey all.... So I wanted to pick up one last inexpensive rod before ice out. Bass Pro Shops has their CarbonLite rods on sale ($20.00 off regular price) and had one W@M Skeet Reese cranking rod left for $89.99. I checked both out and ended up leaving with the Skeet Reese rod. I found the Carbonlite was much stiffer, although lighter than the W@M which was bulkier but a much faster tip/action. The yellow and black color sucks, but I feel it is a better rod for the money. Anyone use these rods yet? I'd appreciate any feedback Alan (bassnajr)
  20. .....and they will eat you brain!!!!!!!
  21. Let me clarify.... I am not taking a shot at the local pros. Gene Ellison is our local pro at BPS Foxboro. Great guy, great advice, and a great rep for BPS. I get the feeling that BPS Foxboro is leaning towards salt water fishing/fisherman and leaving the bass fisherman behind. (BASS pro shops...let's not forget!!) The Northeast store doesn't rank a national (Elite Series) pro and Gene is being sent to another store for the Spring Classic....just not right. :-/
  22. Welcome!!!!!
  23. Hey all... Bit of a rant here so.... I enjoy the BPS Spring Classic every year since they've opened. Last year some good deals and seminars by Timmy Horton and Brent Chapman. This year we get three guys named John Maniaci, Bill McElroy, and Don Messier. No offense to these fellows but...WHO THE HELL ARE THEY??!! Not one Elite series guy?? Guess we know how we rate up here in the Northeast. They should just close this store. They never have anything in stock, most of the employees no nothing about what they are selling, (there are a few GREAT guys and gals, don't get me wrong), and now this. No good......
  24. Dude!!! Has anyone seen my bass boat...I parked it right...um..there!!! 8-)
