  2. X2... The sad thing is the way this country is now, this nit wit will have his own reality show next month and be a millionaire!!! :
  3. I should clarify...... A seperate record for live bait and artificial lures????? According to this post, the guy has a permit to use/release bluegills, so I feel that's a moot point. If he caught it legit, it should stand.
  4. Live bait record VS. artificial lures???????
  5. "The only dumb question is the one that goes un-asked". I think it's French.........
  6. Hey all... I usually buy line as I need it (flouro/braid). I have a chance to stock up on some line at a great price but have never stored it over the winter. Recomendations, comments, ideas???
  7. Yes, Unlike cigars which are , for the most part, "natural", cigarettes are filled with nasty checmicals. YUK!!!!
  8. Nice crescent moon Mud!!!!!! Now I have to fish 3 days after THAT!!!!!! ;D ;D
  9. I personally don't think you should moon any one while fishing.....
  10. ...and pee on your shoes!!!!
  11. They wear Depends.......with a B.A.S.S logo or F.L.W. sticker....
  12. X2 to Tin.... It was good to meet fellow local BR's and Walumn proved an interesting night venue. The smallies were biting and the company was great. My fish were too small to photograph (we didn't have a micro lens!! lol) Hope to see more locals (and non-locals) again soon!!! ajr

  17. Hey all... Just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it would take a New England largemouth to reach six pounds. Ideas??? Comments??? Scientific data???
  18. LUCK.... Yes, luck does come into play. Are you lucky enough to fish every day, or almost every day? Are you lucky enough to live in an area that has big fish ponds? Are you lucky enough to have the money to have good equipment, lures, and time to study up on the sport? Are you lucky enough to live in an area of the country that has good weather year round? Just a few examples of luck. Yes, dinks do eat the same things as lunkers...maybe just smaller. Skill... Knowing when to fish, where to fish, and what to fish at the optimum time.
  19. Caught a nice 6lber. at my favorite spot this morning right before the rain. Maybe the weather is turning???
  20. Where there are dinks there are bigguns. The skill comes in figuring what the big ones want to eat and how to catch 'em.
  21. No...like killing that huge whitetail buck, there is much skill involved....unless you are fishing at Carbuncle pond with a meal worm. :
  22. Try any cover in the shade near shore. If no go, any grass out deeper, that's where I found them today. the bite is still weird though (post spawn). Caught a bunch of rats shallow, and only a couple of nice ones off the grass/rocks. Don't know the make up of your pond, but this time of year under the conditions you described, I look where the grass meets the rocks. Hope this helps, good luck! ajr
