  1. Beauty!! Congrats!!
  2. Matt...if this is so...why take down his website etc.?
  3. This guys punishment is happening right now. Loose your reputation...loose EVERYTHING!!! But to first admit it then turn around and deny it? No sympathy for him now......
  4. I was discussing this with my club president yesterday planning our "T's" for next year. Living and fishing in Rhode Island, there are only so many ponds/lakes to fish. With the economy the way it is, how can you ask members to buy licenses at these costs? I am sure even the 1-7 day licenses are going up. Just another example of government putting it on the backs of the "little guys". At the very least, how about one license for the New England states? (reciprosity) And here in Rhode Island, I don't see any improvments at the ramps etc. It's a shame.
  5. I would send that photo to you DEM/DEP and alert them if there is more than one fish involved...but that's just me. Looks like fungus, infection??? Good luck!
  6. Very special I feel that God watches out for us all....but has a special spot for bass fishermen. Matt. 4:19
  7. Hey all... I am sure this has been asked many times but.... What reel (gear ratio, brand, etc.) do most folks use for crankbaits? Where I live, we're not talking about deep cranking really. Most ponds are less than 20 ' deep so... Thanks in advance...
  8. I go out later in the day and the trips are shorter. Fishing in the Northeast has been tough for the last year or so. The "seasons" are not listening to the weather man at all. Take any fishing book or article you may read about elsewhere in the countey and throw it out the window for the Northwest. It could be next week it's in the 70's...but I doubt it. ajr
  9. Yeah...that and those two casinos you've got. Time for Rhode Island to open a few casinos, or put the state up for sale. but then again, who would buy it???
  10. Nothing more than Botox and a brow lift!!!! Must be from California!!!!!!!
  11. Hey all... I want to give an "atta boy" to a fellow forum member and fellow Rhode Islander , known also to his friends as John C. For those of you who don't know John, he is NOT the kind of guy who would pat himself on the back....so I will. This past weekend, John was the Tournament Director for a T benefiting the Rhode Island TBF State Team, helping them to raise money for next years regional tournament. John also volunteered to drive a camera man for a local cable show around during the tournament. As the weather got worse, the camera man took off, (Too much rain!!!) so John did a little fishing. Well, in the pouring rain, John managed to catch a 9.44 lb. LMB, just a pound and a couple ounces short of the R.I. State record of 10 lbs., 6 oz. 24 ½" caught in May. 1991. See photos: John is the Vice President of the R.I.T.B.F., helps with the state C.A.S.T. for kids orginization, and runs a tournament for the P.V.A. (Paralyzed Veterans of America) every year. So I just want to say thanks to John C. for all he puts up with, all he does for others, and most importantly CONGRATULATIONS on the fish of a life time!!!! ajr
  12. Easy...just sic a DOGFISH on it!!!!!! :
  13. That's an even better photo!!! WOW!!! Thanks for the secret footage!!!!

  15. I caught a fish, 6 lber. with a large lump. (See photo) Looked like she swallowed a golf ball....tumor maybe???
  16. Are bass smart....well let's see.... There are a VERY LARGE group of folks out there that spend a tremendous amount of time and money, thought and consideration, and even a little dreaming, trying to figure out everything they can about this fish. And just when you think you have them figured out, you go out fishing with your fancy equipment, fancy boats, and "game plans", and don't catch ONE BASS!!! The question should be "Who's smarter, the bass or the bass fisherman???
  17. Light and Tough are Ike's work horse rods....no doubt. Those and the Steez's. KVD does the same "advertising" with his crankin rod. It's a business, don't forget. I am sure they use the rods that have their names on it...and "others". The rods (reels) with their names on it are mostly meant for "us", not them.
  18. Beautiful fish!!!! The Fall bite should be on shortly here in new England...can't wait!!!
  19. I recently started leaving a PFD in the drivers seat of the bass boat attached to the kill switch ALL the time, not just during tournaments. If the big engine is on whoever is driving has to wear the jacket. I have another inflatable vest/belt for the passenger seat. I also try to remember to wear the belt all the time when I am fishing alone. I have to remember not to take saftey for granted!!! :-/
  20. Very sad....my prayers also for them and their family........ :-[
  21. I looked at this site...nice seats!! And free shipping doesn't hurt!!! I doubt I can get the old seats re-covered for that price......
  22. Funny....these are the ones I am replacing!!! ;D
  23. Well it's time to replace/rcover the seats (bench seat) on my Procraft Pro 205 bass boat. the question is this???? For those who have done this in the past: Is it cheaper to have them re-upholstered or just to re-place them with after market seats?? I don't have a price on the re-cover yet, but new seats (and not OEM Procraft seats!!) are between $400.00 and $900.00 dollars. What to do???!!!!
  24. Nothing like a good case of "Bass Thumb"!!!! Sweet pain!!!!!!!
