Hey all... Does anyone know what happened to Tim Horton during the Classic?? I heard he was sick enough to be taken to a local hospital and also some other nasty rumors I won't repeat. ESPN didn't say a word after day one about him. A link would be nice!! Thanks, ajr

Hey all..... I saw that my home pond was 60% clear of ice today and I couldn't resist trying a few of the X-Mas gifts I got this year. I went out with my BPS 7' 6" HVY rod, and Daiwa Millonaire reel and tied on a Reaction Strike swimbait. It was 34* with 25 MPH wind gusts but sunny skies. I fished from a dock around a large ice chunk.. . I didn't catch a thing.....but I didn't care!!! Just being out there felt great and I can't help but hope that Spring will be here shortly. (I am sure the Southern guys will get a good chuckle out of this...if they only knew how lucky they are!!!!!! ajr

I checked IKE's website, and they are not listed as a sponsor....maybe they didn't update his home page yet!!!

"IKE fished the conditions"....very good point. I also feel if he had killed them with the LaserLure, we sure would have heard about it at the weigh-in or numerous other occasions. Don't forget, all he has do do is throw it once to say: "I use the LaserLure and so should you". I was surprised IKE didn't go on about his sponsors...he let his shirt and boat do the talking I guess!!! ajr

Don't laugh at me but...... I stole my wife's Sally Hansen's "Hard as Nails" clear coat nail polish. :-[ I use it on my jig heads etc. to protect the paint I put on. It's cheap easy to use, and saves me alot on replacement/repair costs. ajr

Hey all... I am looking for a replacement windshield for my 2001 Procraft Pro210 bass boat (dual console) passenger side. A member here gave me an address of a company in, I believe, Arkansas, but I did not write it down. Any help would be appreciated. ajr

The new 3/4 oz. version I bought for this year seems to have a better finish on it the the older 1/2 oz. baits I have used. Won't know until the ice goes away though!! ajr

I use braid and have had no problems with the Red Eye's...but they aren't a weedless lure remember........

Zona said that IKE was using "a Generic" red and black 4" tube all week. I didn't see him use the LaserLure...but then, I wasn't in the boat with him all three days.....

He dresses like a stock car driver...minus the faux-hawk!!

IKE has PASSION!!! Not to mention that love him or hate him..he is GREAT for bass fishing. When will people realize what bass fishing would be without him???

In an earlier post, I had picked IKE and Timmy Horton....and I still feel if Tim hadn't been sick, both would have been in the top five, and one probably would have won. IKE grew up fishing rivers don't forget....as of right now, IKE is in second about a pound back, and just brought a 5 lber. into the boat. Those kind of fish on a day like today will win the Classic!!! let's hope he knows where a few more are!!!!! ajr

I wouldn't put it past ESPN/BASS either. Here's an IKE update from ESPN.com: "Iaconelli just checked in with 16 pounds, pushing his total to 31-5 and moving him into the top 10. That makes that top 10 even more compelling. Iaconelli, though, could be fudging a bit. The observer is punching in the keys but a few others say he could have as much as 19 pounds. If that's the case, then we have one helluva horse race going on." ajr

Hey all.. Having to follow The Classic on line like most others (The "LIVE" Blog) I find it strange that no one has heard from Ike all day via BassTrak. The blog said earlier he was "out of range" which I don't believe. Maybe shut the equipment off....but not out of range. And what's up with Timmy Horton??? I am shocked....thought he would be a contender??? ajr

Part of the reason I quit BASS and went FLW..... Selling out has it's price!!!!
