  3. Very cool Glenn!!! I have been a fan of Ikes from the beginning. I think this show captures what he is really like. I missed his appearence in Worchester Mass. > ajr
  4. The great thing about these is you can fish them many ways. You can burn them top, middle, fish them like a jerk bait, or jig them. I have gotten many hits as the bait drops on a slack line. Great bait!!! ajr
  5. Hey all.... Took a drive to BPS today and picked up a few of the above in the new 3/4 oz. size. They are sharp!!! The paint also seems a little better, new and improved if you will with some awesome patterns.... Have any of our Southern brothers tried these out yet?? I love the 1/4 oz. and 1/2 oz. size...caught many fish last year on these and have high hopes for the bigger size. Thoughts??? Opinions???
  6. You can count me in...sorry for your loss. Alan (bassnajr)
  7. Hey all... As we here in the Northeast get ready for yet another snow storm, I figured I'd let everyone know about a show on tonight on The National Geographic channel at 10:00 pm EST titled "Hooked on Bass" which details the passion (obsesssion!!) of bass fishing from the Pros to the so called "Weekend Warriors". Figured it would help to bass the time. Enjoy!!!!! bassnajr
  8. KU....you the man!!!! Thanks for the advice...all set now!!! I KNEW someone here would have the answer...you guys always do!! Thanks again... Alan (bassnajr)

  10. Hey all... I use YAHOO as my search engine and for my e-mail. Over the past week, I have noticed that their homepage hasn't changed (same stories, headlines, etc.) or updated like it used to. It also seems slower than usual. I have a security suite installed and have run several checks with nothing unusual showing up. Anyone else having this kind of problem??? Maybe there just trying to save money!!! Thanks for any help!!! ajr
  11. I would just say "Isn't it great that we live in America, where people like you can have an opinion and folks like me can ignore it??!! Have a GREAT day!!" ajr
  12. I only use Daiwa reels. For the money...you can't beat them. from the "bargain" reels all the way up to the Steez....A+++ ajr
  13. My buddy and I got our Procraft on Craigslist out of Maine 2001 21' Procraft with a 2004 Johnson 175 hp motor. I was VERY skeptical.... But after many e-mails and phone calls, and verifying who these people were with the local police, the deal got done. I was still a little nervous driving the six hours still thinking we were gonna get ripped off, but it worked out. I am glad you were careful and did your homework!!! ajr
  14. The $50.00 limit is tough, but a Bass Pro Shop Bionic Blade is a good bet...check the links below: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98372____SearchResults http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98371____SearchResults Good luck!! Happy B-Day!! ajr
  15. I went to a review site of the product and one of the "problems" was that it only works when the boat is going 2 MPH or over... I don't know what speed the average boat goes on the trolling motor, but I don't think it would be that fast. I like the idea of viewing what's on the side as opposed to under the boat, altough it has that capacity as well. I am thinking about getting one for this season...but need to do more research to see if it's worth the price...$800.00 and up. ajr
  16. That's why I bring a camera.....to silence the "Doubting Thomas'" of the world.... Peace!!! ajr
  17. It's like a Hole in One in golf!! Congrats!!!! Never heard of a double on a single hook...that's even harder. Timmy Horton seems to do it a couple of times a year on a crankbait!!! You got one up on him!!! ajr
  18. When the weather got cold here (RI) in the late Fall, I started experimenting with swimbaits. Fished them SLOW at different depths. My last time out, caught a 5 lb. LMB and a 2 lb 11oz SMB. Here's one of the baits I used: http://cgi.ebay.com/Akita-5-in-BASS-STRIPER-MUSKY-SWIMBAIT-FISHING-LURE_W0QQitemZ220347407289QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item220347407289&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 Good luck!!! ajr
  19. Never heard of it...and I wouldn't spend that much on any crankbait...no offense...at least not YET... ajr
