  3. I know wher I'm fishinnnnnngggggg!!! I got three trolling motors mounted so I can beat all you guys there!!!!!! ;D ;D
  4. Well there are many ways to do things I guess RW . You seem like a by the book guy, which is cool. I feel all of my factors are pertinent, in some way. If I have to get a scale out to set my drag, I think it kind of mechanizes fishing. I like to keep it more easy going. Even using artifical lures VS live bait has an affect on drag...I'd bet. peace ajr
  5. I gave you several factors... Also, read the post below mine regarding lite line. I don't consider anyone on here a jerk.....just NEVER say NEVER until you throw it around with other people, like you are doing. Setting your drag to 1/3 is not wrong by any means. Nor is what I do wrong. I can get a good feel for the drag just by setting and pulling some line off the reel. I have done this since I was young, so maybe I am just used to doing it this way. I don't use a scale, although that is an option, I guess. I have never lost a fish due to my drag being set improperly. It's what works for you and what you fell comfortable and confident with. Fishing is always about learning and adapting every day out on the water. Peace, ajr
  6. I'm gonna add a question here... I have some yellow PowerPro and have noticed the red PP for sale at BPS. Do these color braids fade as well?? I bought the yellow by accident and have it on a spinning reel that I haven't used yet. What do you folks think?? Tin... I know you are only 19 years old and don't know anything about anything, but you can weigh in on this if you care to!! ajr
  7. Good point, There are different factors for setting a drag, type of fish, current, what type of line you are using. I think your right with the 1/3 comment, but I also think it's just a guide. IMO ajr
  8. You know, I was thinking about this today..... As Power Pro (the braid I use) is used, it begins to fade color wise. I don't see how it would be any more visable than say, a green mono. Granted, I haven't used PP to much for plastics in clear water but as it fades, I can hardly see it out of the water. ajr
  9. Well I guess it's good that it comes in both rear and star drag for all tastes huh? I have noticed certin people always have negative opinions. Wonder why that is??? ajr
  10. CFFF Did you ask if this is something they are gonna offer every where or just down South??? I'd like to know if us "Yankees " are gonna get a crack at them!!! bassnajr
  11. Zen, I don't have a Daiwa spinning reel...now my baitcasters???? ajr
  12. Hey all... I have owned many spinning reels but this is the best reel for the price I have ever owned. I put 20 lb. PP braid on it and it casts a country mile!!! the rear fighting drag is a great feature as well. You can actually fine tune your drag depending on the lure and conditons without the "guess" factor. Anyone else have praise or criticisim!!!??? bassnajr
  13. I bought the Red Eye Shad in smoke color with rattles. It has been amazing!!!!! The bass are KILLING it. Gonna buy a couple more tomorrow!! ajr
  14. I'm gonna use the lure that I was going to use next Tuesday, but changed my mind and used it on Monday. Mike, I'll mail the lure to you last week if you want to use it???!!! ajr
  15. That looks like a plastic "easy 10 pounder" you are holding!!! There is no easy to catch bass...... 1 pounder to 15 pounder. There is an amount of skill, luck, knowledge, and devine intervention involved often in different amounts depending on the circumstances. IMO Good luck with your search!! bassnajr
  16. Amen Brother ZEN!!!!!! Can I get an AMEM!!!!????? ajr
  17. When I broke one out at a tournament last weekend a got a few negative comments. I don't care. I feel that chatter-baits are a very versatile bait. You can use them as a jig, a swim jig, a spinnerbait, and a jerk bait. Where else can you get an all round bait for $4.00. Try the original Chatter- bait to avoid the critics. Get a few colors. Black and blue, yellow and white, and a green and brown. Fish them fast, fish them slow, pull them like a jerk bait. You'll catch fish!!! Enjoy!! bassnajr
  18. HAZMAT suits will be available at the ramp!!!!

Guess he was after a meal for the whole family!!!!! bassnajr

  24. Hey, I have been searching for my first new bass boat. I came across the XPRESS line of aluminum boats. They seem to incorparate the best traits of an aluminium and fiberglass boat. Anyone here own one or have any information or opinions on them? Also, does anyone know the price range on these boats? Thanks, bassnajr
