Does anyone know of any other hook that has the built it bait keeper on the top like the trokar flippin hook??? I like the bait keeper on the flippin hooks. Any other brand have that??

$10.00 for 4 hooks seems like a lot of money. Newest "Banjo Minnow" or great fishing technology???

Maybe this is a "rules" question, but can't they carry extra gas..say a 5 gal. container or two? I know weight would be an issue but maybe just an emergency supply so you don't have to call your wife? I can see me doing that!!! "Honey...I am fishing and I ran out of gas and....CLICK....hello?? hello???!!!!! ;D

Call the DEM or DNR where you live. They send teams out to monitor the ice thickness. I don't ice fish but there is a board I know folks go to called iceshanty.com. The folks there can help you too I am sure. Good luck and be careful!!!

The Abu rods are supposed to be balanced etc. with their reels so if you believe that, I would stay with a Revo. I have had them...they're OK. The Shimano Citica which can be had for $99.99 or less is one fine reel for the money. The Curado 200e7- 201e7 is a burner so not really an all around reel. Good luck!

I am lucky to have an Oakley Vault (clearance) store near me. The polarized glasses often go on discount like 50%-60% off. I grabbed a few pairs of Monster Dogs (amber, blue, and "shallow" lenses) and keep them all in the glove box. Depending on the cloud cover, or lack there of, I can choose the right lens. Along with the weather, gotta remember other things as well: Pollen on the water is tough, dust etc. I am interested in the Wiley X glasses with the insert to keep out any side light...great idea. Anyone try these yet??

Hey all... I have already gone the replacement (new) route of the various companies for these windshields. I have been told that the mold for these specific windshields has been lost...cost to remake the molds ...$400.00..then the cost of making and shipping new windshields...not cost effective. SO.......... Does anyone know of a bass boat "salvage yard / bone yard" for lack of a better term, that may have these??? I realize it's a long shot, but figure why not. Damaged bass boats have to go somewhere right??? Any help on this goose chase is appreciated!!!!! ;D Alan (bassnajr)

Here's the story: Right now I have 2 Lowrance 520c's on my boat. One on the bow and one on the console. I have a Motorguide Tour 80 with a built in transducer that I use for the front Lowrance unit. I am thinking about buying a Hummingbird 798ci SI/DI unit for the front with the intention of using both the front 520c for sonar only and the HB for SI and DI only. The 520c on the console will be for navigation only. Question: will I be able to mount the humminbird transducer on the trolling motor without interference from the built in transducer on the trolling motor? Does anyone know if the Humminbird and Lowrance units operate on different frequencies? Sorry for the long story!!!! Alan (bassnajr)

I know this topic flares its head every once in a while but COME ON!!! This guy is ridiculous!!! He starts the show polishing the boat with BTS (label forward of course!), moves on to Gary Yamamoto swim senkos, (has anyone ever caught anything on these besides him??), and of course gets the Diamond braid, and the BPS flippin stick in. I was waiting for him to pull his under wear band out and show us the Fruit of the Loom label!!! I had to turn it off. I know...sponsors, without them no show...but really. It actually makes me NOT want to buy anything he pimps!

Wayne...being told by another member that the transducers are different between the two. The older does not have an "HD" transducer so the picture quality is not as good????

Does anyone know the difference between these units? From what I can gather the older unit is not HD and only has SI and not DI, nor is it ethernet compatible. Is this correct?? Thanks, Alan (bassnajr)
