  1. I like Trilene XL on my spinning reel, and use Suffix Seige on my baitcasters.
  2. I've got a GOOD discount on Fenwick rods when buying off their site, and would like to know something about these two rods. I was personally thinking about the HMX but would like to know about them both, thanks.
  3. What's wierd is, if it wasn't bassmaster (and it probably was not) then it had to have been someone who new you recieved Bassmaster magazine...... :-?
  4. Nice job man. That's a good sized bass, and a Great start! Keep at it, I can tell the way you keep trying different lures to catch those fish that you are not the type to give up. That's what it takes to catch em! You'll be yanking them in, in no time.
  5. Definantly over 4 lbs. Nice bass.
  6. Absorbs moisture to prevent rust.
  7. Weightless T-rig, T-rig, wacky rig, flick shake, C-rig, shakey head, you name it and it does it. I LOVE the zoom trick work.
  8. I believe it has to do with how many times the bass see those lures. When something gets hot, as in popularity, the bass start to see it so many times they don't want it.
  9. I would use the clips, because I have them, but the issue was that I wouldn't have enough room in the back livewell. It's pretty darn small.
  10. Ohhhhh man... I walk outside every morning to make sure this thing isn't a dream. I've been DYING for this for a long time, and I finally got one. My first bass boat is a 1991 Skeeter SD-125 with a 1992 Nissan 90 hp. Foot controlled trolling motor and 2 Depth Finders. I saw this boat listed but the add had no pictures. It said "Garage kept" so we thought it might be pretty good. Finally, the guy e-mails me some pics after I emailed him, right before he posted the pics for the public. I got ahold of him... "I want to come see this boat tomorrow.".... It looked even better in person! ;D This boat, trailer, AND motor looks like they just came off the lot, AND IT'S 17 YEARS OLD! I am so happy with this thing it's unbelievable. It was WELL worth the $4000 I paid for it! ;D
  11. I just bought a 1991 Skeeter SD 125 and I am STOKED! First Bass Boat! Whoop! Anyways, just about the ONLY thing that kind of bothers me, is that the livewell is small. It has 1 livewell in the back, 1 dry storage compartment in the back, and a livewell in the front also (wierd shape). I'm not so much worried about keeping a limit of bass alive, as I am keeping both mine and the co-anglers. My question is, do any of you have and use a front or bow livewell, and how does it do? If I have to, I may try to convert the dry storage compartment, (which is the exact same size, shape, and is right next to the other rear livewell) into a livewell and just use the front one as storage. Has anyone done this? How hard do you think it would be?
  12. Yea, I don't understand why you cannot cast a Horny Toad with your baitcaster? You should be able to fine...
  13. Practice. Know your spinning reel, how it handles, what kind and the size of fish you're targeting, what size line, etc. Then, you can pull down on the line at the end of the rod, estimating how much you think a good sized fish you are targeting will pull (without breaking it) and then adjust accordingly.
  14. When not in current, "flick" your rod back and forth (up and down) and "shake" the worm is it moves from top to bottom, bottom to top... I usually throw it out, let it sink close to the bottom, then shake it up, then let it sink again and repeat. You don't need the Flick Shake woms to do this. I use Zoom Finesse worms also, and they work. This is starting to be one of my new favorite techniques to use.

    Carolina rig only.
  16. You mean, you have a snap swivel attached to your hook with a bullet above it? :-? I'm confused. Anyways... if you're using a swivel attached to your hook, and he is tying directly to the line, I'm SURE that has something to do with it. You should also be tying directly to the hook. With that said, you still can't beat the shakey head though. (Don't use a swivel attached to this.) lol

    I KNEW it! lol
  18. Hmm... 12.27 and got 4th huh? That's funny because basspro posted also, and had 8.5 or someting and got 2nd... How's that? :-?

    I say it's a football largemouth.
  20. Yea.. a "tree" stick. LOL
  21. "The harder i press, the righter I go." is pretty funny, don't you think Muddy? :
  22. A stick. Tie on a treble hook to the line and hook it on one end of the stick, then a leader coming off that treble with another treble attached at the other end of the stick. Drop it right on the bed and let it sit there... after a while the bass will pick it up to clean it off of it's bed... and FISH ON! ;D
  23. That doesn't make it "the best." "The best" color at a given time will vary with... well, everything.
