  6. I didn't get my invite? It must be lost in the mail. ;D ;D ;D
  7. Need a little help from you west coast guys. I have been dealing with some really clear water conditions lately. I'm thinking of trying some swimbaits, but I really don't know what I should try first. The lake I have been fishing is only 8 to 10 feet at it's deepest, has all sorts of stucture. There is a healthy shad population and I have been using all the typical fall lures[traps, spinnerbaits, etc.] with little success. I feel like swimbaits might be the answer, what do yall think?
  8. Sounds like it would be easier to just raise up a few shiners.
  9. In South Ga. we don't have much of an off season. Things slow down a little bit, but other than the just plain uncomfortable days, the fishing is still alright. As for what to do with all that extra time, I generally spend a 6-8 weeks trying to soften up my wife for nexts year's fishing!!
  10. Nice fish!
  11. Talquin is one of my favorite childhood spots. My dad had a little place down there for years. Great crappie "speck" lake. Does anybody ever see Josh from the old Whipperwill marina anymore? Wonder how his is doing?
  12. Floroclear for me, second only to Halo.
  13. Paradise WMA Tifton,Ga. A lot less water this year.
  14. Ive walked out broke before. Does that count as empty handed? ;D
  15. No, I'm sorry, the buzztail shad. I fish it texas rigged weightless, mostly over weed beds in shallow water, topwater like a buzzbait, I let it sink a little in any wholes in the cover.
  16. ain't seen'em! Where can you find them?
  17. Has anybody out there had as much success with the 4" Producto swim shad as I have? Has anybody heard of this lure? If not, I just gave up my secret weapon! I'm curious because I have not read about this lure anywhere, I found it a a local tackle shop and gave it a try. It works! I'm sorry that I have not included a picture. for the record, I do not work for Producto. ha ha!

    Welcome!
  19. In South Ga., lunker would be 8 plus. As for small mouth, never seen one down here so I guess even a dink would qualify as a lunker. ; ;D
  20. WOW! Two co-anglers! Nice story.
  21. We all know that having confidence in your lure and presentation is pure gold. If there is a product that helps you build this confidence level, I say spray whatever you want regardless of research. If you think it helps you catch fish it probably does.
