I just have to win
Weather report for sunday has changed from cloudy with a low of 32 to sunny with a low of 23 degrees. This is the worst cold front down here in recent years so the bite is gonna be awful slow. It's gonna be COLD!!! But I ain't backing down from a challenge! Bring it Brother!!

Do I get the credit for fish landed from my boat?
That's an awsome friend to let you watch him catch a fish like that!! LOL Congrats on a great day guys!

what do you think
Every pond I fish, and I fish alot of ponds, is fished with a 12 foot boat and a trolling motor! Never had any problems, even in ponds twice that size. As for the second part of the question I would fish every square foot as often as I could! And I always start with plastics in a new pond to learn a little about the bottom, depth, structure etc. Good luck, looks like a beautiful place!

How did you find out about this site, and when you registered... (and a little about myself)
I found the articles one day last summer while looking for any info I could find to help me become a better angler. I read articles for days and days. When I finally checked out the forums I liked what I saw and signed up. Been hanging around and learnig ever since. I wish I could thank a few individual members but I can't name just a few. I feel I am able to take something from almost every post I read. Thanks guys!

And so it begins!
Every year my younger brother smokes me out on the water. Looks like this year will not be any different. We were able to go out and try'em last Sunday, our first outing of 2008. It was a really ugly day. We had a coldfront come through the night before, and the temps were still dropping. Needless to say the bite was really slow, but we still managed two fish with t-rigged worms in 10' of water fished really slow. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. The guy with the big fish is my brother. The guy that caught the dink is me! And so it begins.. This old girl probably around 6 lbs This one, not so much

RESULTS ... Predict Your '07 Hawg
I was not around here last year, but my lifelong goal has been a 10# LMB. I came really close this year with a 9.89 pound postspawner. If only I would have caught her a few weeks earlier. Maybe this year!

Things you just cannot get rid of...
The smell left in an ice chest you forgot to clean. Old tackle you never use. Jet skiers. Telemarketers.

Balck and White with Red eyes Rapala
First of all welcome aboard! You are gonna love this forum. As for the Rapalas, most of the discontinued ones become collecters items pretty fast and can get really expensive. There are however some guys here that would probably be glad to hand paint some for ya.

Baitcaster for Wormin ?
The rod is going to be as important as the reel. I prefer a rod that "loads up" good during the cast. I can't afford to own all top end reels so I own three "work horses" that supplement my high end rigs. My "workhorse" reels are Pflueger Echelons. They run about 65 bucks and are really good reels for the money. I've found that when combined with a decent 6'8" MH rod that they can handle unweighted worms really well. Anyway, do your research and for 250 bucks you should be able to put together one heck of a combo. As for just a good high end reel, you can't go wrong with any of the ABU Revos. Good luck, Good fishing

Who makes the best crankbaits? What's your favorite?
Rapala DTs are the best that I can afford. I hope this spring to try some of the Lucky Craft cranks. I also might try some custom balsas. I think Marty said it best, it's all about confidence. As long as you have confidence in what you use stick with it.
