The year before last my brother and I fished the Easter Seals tourney at Lake Eufaula. Alot of the FLW anglers were there prefishing for a tourney the following weekend, many stayed in the same hotel we were in. I have to say I had some very good experiences meeting these guys as well. They were very friendly and always had a moment for a fan of the sport. We bombed in the tourney, but meeting and "hanging out" with these guys made it all worth while. Quite a few of the irrigation ponds we frequent here in Ga. will develop the same color in middle summer, JuneBug trick worm is the killer in these conditions!

Days like the one you just had, the stories about the size of the fish that lake produces, and now the picks of that place you have posted are quickly moving Lake Fork to the top of my list of places I must fish one day! Congrats on finding that pattern, must have been serious fun!

Ask yourself this: If you had a nice fenced backyard with a swimming pool and you came home only to find people you have never seen before going for a little swim how would you react? Most people have worked hard for what they own and would not want anyone taking advantage without their permission. Don't jump fences, it ain't right!

Bill Dance. Infomercial or not he is a very passionate teacher. His show always includes solid fundamentals that I often need to be reminded of as well as detailed info for some very specific situations.

Water clarity? I'm not a northern water angler, but a lot of those guys praise jerkbaits in cold clear water. I read alot about jigging spoons as well. Most important listen to Five.Bass.limit and LBH, these two guys always offer up some sound information.

That would have been my answer Catt if only I could have said it as good as you did. After flipping soft plastics of all kinds for years I found that the switch to flipping jigs was pretty simple. Fifty percent of my flipping is still done with plastics. It is very affordable and productive to have a variety of plastics for every situation.

Welcome aboard! In my opinion, not all original hooks are bad. Some ,however, are really bad. They may feel sharp, but they won't last. Adding aftermarket hooks is simply a good way to insure good hooksets when it counts. Not only is sharpness and quality an issue, but I find that I often change out hook sizes as well.

9.89 pounds on certified scales. For the last several years my goal has been 10. I've came close many times, but no 10 pound fish yet.
