Lake Sinclair
Thanks for the tips gentlemen! I got my first tournament on Sinclair this weekend. Should be perfect weather for June if the storms hold off until after weigh in. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in the club bringing in some heavy bags!

Moving to NC or GA. Hows the fishing?
I live in Macon. Fishing here is really accessible, several lakes perfect for Jon boats or kayaks. Juliete, High Falls, Lucas to name a few. Also, some of the best bass lakes in Ga are in withen easy driving range, but you will need a bigger boat. Ocmulgee river can be fun too. Fishing here is a lot more challenging than south Florida. The town itself is not bad, and we have more businesses coming in all the time bringing more jobs. A rare thing in Ga. And if you miss the big city, only a little over an hour to ATL. I can't speak for NC

fishing alone or with a partner?
Since we were children, my fishing partner has been my brother. We are in our forties now, and a few years ago he moved to SAN Diego(from Georgia). We still make time to fish in Ga or Ca at least once a year. Though I do still enjoy fishing alone, there is not much I wouldn't do to have my brother in my boat again on every trip.

Fishing in SE Georiga
Coming to a close in middle GA also, got 4 nice females this morning. All of them were postspawn and still had some scars on their lower fins from bedding. Like Koz stated above, they are hitting anything right now.

Transducer Mounting

Transducer Mounting
Hey guys, I'm mounting a new transducer on my Jon boat this weekend and could use a little advice. I have researched every aspect of mounting locations, how to level, sealing mounting holes, etc.. What I can't seem to be able to find a straight answer on is wether I will get a better signal with the transducer above or below the water line? Any advice is, as always, is very appreciated. It is a Garmin Striker 5 for reference

san diego bound
If you plan on fishing Otay get there early!! The line for boat rentals and the ramp can be brutal. I've fished there twice and both times boaters were lined up down the side of the road waiting for them to open the gates! I would assume most of the available public lakes in a highly populated desert will be the same

Macon/Middle Ga
Hey guys! I'm a long time (30 years) fishaholic. Just recently move to Macon, Ga from the deep Sourh and I'm interested in trying my hand ar some of these lakes up here. I'm looking for someone in the area to partner up with to help learn Juliette, Toby, High Falls, Lucas Marcus, etc.. I have a new boat that I've rigged up in anticipation of moving here, need someone to help me fill it with fish!!

Hey guys!! It's been awhile. I have not posted since 2008! Thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself as there may have been a new member or two since then. My name is Terry, I live in Middle Ga, and I am excited to back!

Which do you think a bass prefers?
Ok, I've done the research. Over 1 million recipes on line for crawfish, zero for threadfin shad. The answer is obvious! Seriously though, I have to agree with farmpond 1, location and temperament seem to be the deciding factors on the waters I fish.

Rude Anglers
Personally, I have never had any experience as bad as some of the ones I have read here, except for the occasional jet skier. I guess I'm lucky. I do have an idea though. I hear a lot of talk about casting at the individual or their boat with jigs, rattle traps, bladebaits and such. Why don't some of the good people of BR that build lures come together and design a lure for just this purpose! ;D I would like to preorder the 3 ounce version of whatever they come up with!

Spinnerbait to Buzzbait conversion
I've been watching this thread with interest. That bait looks like it would be a killer with the Basstrix Spintrix(I think that's right). Its a 5 inch version designed for use on an underspin head. I'm wondering if you had any luck with the fine tuning today?
