I will be honest, I hate lipless cranks. All they do for me is get hung up in brush. Just go for a lipped lure anytime you need to get down to the bottom. -gk

Try the Diawa peanuts, I in particular like the shallow one, I have the 5 footer too, but I like the 3 better. As far as colors go, I fish really stained ponds so I like little flash such as their black and silver one. I would suggest if you are interested in buying one hit up Cabelas instead of BPS, as Cabelas has a better selection of colors. -gk

I love Golden Retrievers, unfortunately we had to put ours down about 6 years ago. Now we have a Beagle/Shepherd mix that was a last chance rescue dog. -gk

Does cutting the front trebles off the front and rear hooks affect the hook up ratios of say like a DT 3? I did a search, it showed one post, but it was almost vague. -gk

Top Water- Rebel Pop R, good cheap too Crankbait- Daiwa peanut, or Rapala DT 3 Flat Spinners- I don't use them too much Worms- Fish Stalker worms, ( they are like a hand pour trick worm, have better colors too.) Senko style bait Jigs- I don't fish those too much either. -gk
