  1. You coming RW?
  2. If anyone is interested, looks like I will be heading down to David Field's Trophy Bass Lodge around the first week of October. If anyone is interested in joining me for the trip, I would love the company. Going to go down and get a good report on the new season. I know David is running a good deal right now if you book before the end of August. We are going to be testing our new "Huites Copper Canyon" color phase of plastics. David is also putting together a top water action trip for November. David is a sponsor of this site and runs a safe, quality operation.
  3. Nice job Barry. For those asking, that is our triple laminate 6" Pepperstick in a bluegill pattern. I am glad someone has time to fish
  4. I think it looks good. Nice work
  5. You mean there are other lakes besides El Salto....? This is good information Raul. If all goes according to plans, I will be on some of those other lakes this fall.
  6. Who's giving away a trip to Mateos? Anyway, yes, it is a very large and beautiful lake. Mateos is known as a spinnerbait lake and you can catch large numbers of bass there. Not as many big fish caught as some of the others, but still plenty of 8-10lb fish caught each season.
  7. Mend-It is the ticket. Will and I talked this morning and I ordered another box of 100 bottles. This stuff is priceless. My customers love it.
  8. Call David Fields. Mr. Fields is very knowedgable and can steer you in the right direction. He is the sponsor that RW spoke of. You can always ask me for additional info if you like.
  9. Bobs Tackle Shack
  10. Tell us about your mold. Is is aluminum, POP, etc?
  11. I live in Linton and fish those pits aroud here daily. Placed 2nd on a tournament at Shakamak last weekend. Caught about 25 bass, most were in the slot. 1st place had 17.13 which is a pretty heavy bag for Shakamak.

    Lookin good.
  13. Take the hooks off. They make great key chains for the boat, lawn mower, etc..
  14. You going with Brett G. on this one?
  15. Right now, everyone is singing the praises on Lake Huites. 5 Years ago it was just the opposite. Shows how these lake make the cycle. Just wait for the report from David. I am sure is will be a good one.
  16. We are going to Trophy Bass Lodge on Lake Huites May 6th. You are welcome to join us. David Fields is at the lodge right now, but will be back next week. Give him a call and he can fill you in.
  17. A 4" deep diver normally has a #1 and 5" deep diver a #2
  18. Looks like I am going to spend some time at David Field's Trophy Bass Lodge on lake Huites this coming May. If anyone is interested in joining me on this trip, please let David or myself know soon. I am going down to test some lures with some of my close friends. I would be more than happy to supply you with some test lures as well if you joined us on this trip. May 6th, 2009 is the arrival date. I am staying for 4 days and a couple of guys are staying for 5.
  19. I little tip from someone who makes big plastics. You can use a smaller hook, like the 5/0, just skin hook the stick bait. Your hookup ration will improve rather than trying to set the hook through all that plastic. Still weedless.
  20. I was worried it might be poor based on PBA forums. Sorry to hear that.
  21. I don't know what is going on at Baccarac, but something is up. My good friend just got back and said he caught 12 fish in three days. Now on the upside, 3 of those 12 were over 10 lbs with the largest being 11.14lbs. I would like to know what is going on there. While he was there, he stated that the reports they were hearing from Huites were outstanding. I have personally spoken with a number of people in the past week and there are two lakes producing right now. Huites and El Salto. Comedero is very high and fishing could be better and will be when the water drops. Mateos is picking up, but cannot compete with the lakes of Huites and Salto these last couple of weeks.
  22. I really need to get down to Huites. Just got back from Sugar. Two cold fronts followed me down from Indiana, which was real nice Very few fish caught, but a 10 and 9.9 were caught one day in our group. My largest was 7.10 on this trip.
  23. I have heard the same thing. All the lakes are full or above normal pool right now. We might have a good bite in the shallows. Everyone I have spoken says it is a great crankbait lake. I went ahead and shipped 34lbs of plastics to the guide to avoid taking them on the plane. I think that should last 8 guys fishing for 3 days
  24. My field staff and I are hitting Sugar Lake Mexico next week. Anyone fish Sugar recently? If so, what is your opinion of the lake and any thoughts on tactics?
