  1. No thanks I can get a 40oz King Cobra for less ;D It's allll relevant
  2. The tip heavy comment was only my opinion. I am sure they balance very nicely with a reel.
  3. I'm sure they left the west out of divisions like the Central division solely due to gas prices but I agree that they should have a Western Division like they used to. I mean if they didn't we might not have ever seen anglers like Aaron Martens.
  4. I recently got a couple of the Winch's and I agree, they are a very nice reel. Makes cranking a dream!
  5. This is my opinion only so take it with a grain of salt but I handled a zillion at the FLW Championship (without a reel of course) and thought it looked awesome but was tip heavy. Now this could have a lot to do with it not having a reel on it but it still felt completely different than a Steez in the weight distribution area. But like I said this is just my opinion because I'm sure it is and excellent rod just like every other Daiwa I have handled.
  6. If you spray L&L in on your baits it will help keep them from rusting
  7. Just curious but where did you come up with your information concerning the molecular composition of these two? And have you used both products to tell if they are not beneficial to use?
  8. x2 on the Owner Wide Gap Plus - this is my work horse hook. It seems as if you are trying to use the braid in finesse applications if you are using light wire Gammy's. Remember when you step up to braid in test larger than 30lb you, for the most part, are stepping out of the realm of finesse so make sure you adjust your tackle properly.
  9. I know Kevin Short sure would! (Buy the pink reels that is)
  10. L&L works on all three types of line while Reel Magic for the most part only works on Mono. Hate to say it but you definitely should have gotten the KVD L&L. L&L is also ordorless and has a bunch of other uses like cleaning your depth finder screens and sunglasses. Did you keep the receipt? ;D
  11. adclem- Were you getting bites before on your stick baits? If so it might have been due to the braid slowing down the fall of your bait since braid floats more than other lines. Also, it may cost me a few fish every couple of years but, I don't dead stick my baits for 3-4 minutes ever (unless I am in Florida and there was a massive spring cold front but thats a different story or I am sight fishing).
  12. I have the 6'8" MH DS rod and the 7'6" flipping stick. They are both great rods but I will not throw a shakey head on my DS rod. They are classed as a MH but it has a very light tip to aid in the drop shot technique. I would personally go with the regular series of the crucial spinning ( I have the 6'6" MH spinning that I use for shakey heads). The flipping stick is pretty sick. I have two of them and would recommend them to anyone.
  13. The Shimano Crucial 7'6" MH is a sweet rod for under 150. I have two and love them. You might want to check those out as well.
  14. That didn't take long ;D My vote is the Crucials though
  15. GYCB Color # 159. I have caught a bunch of fish on this color senko in river systems. It is defined ad Blue Black w/ Large Chartreuse flakes.
  16. Yeah and in my opinion the Zoom is a much better bait.
  17. Yeah what he said ;D
  18. I use the rubber T stops. They are similiar to the old toothpick technique but they don't harm the line and you can also slide them up the line when you need to retie.
  19. Yes that is a pretty good deal on the Winch. I have two and with the limited use so far I love them. Another great Revo.
  20. Yeah me too! ;D
  21. I have 2 but I have not been able to use them but once or twice so far. So far so good though. I really like them. The longer handle is nice for hard pulling baits like a DD22. Abu has another winner!
  22. No offense at all to LC but a Zoom bait will eat the LC's lunch at times! I have a bunch of the Hickey's (Insert comment here) and they are my absolute favorite crankbait. The RC is a strong runner in that pack but no production crankbait will hold a candle against a good hand made bait like Zoom. They got my Zoom baits almost a year ago and I still haven't found one (that doesn't cost an arm and a leg). I lost 3-4 Wobblers and 8-10 Z-Flats along with all my production LC's and other stuff. Nothing worse than a theif!
  23. Spelling and Grammar aside, you have to ask yourself what can I offer a company. Passion for the fishing industry and competition is a must but also everyone that is trying to turn fishing into their well being has that same passion. Only when you can set youself apart from everyone else in the hurd will you be able to start working with companies. It won't happen overnight or all at once. You will more than likely have to start small and earn your keep before the paying sponsors show up.
  24. I had a bunch of the Wobblers until somebody got into my boat while I was eating breakfast before a tournament and cleaned my crankbait arsenal out. I was looking on some websites and found a WEC Zoom Z1 that looked similiar to the Wobblers I had. Has anyone had any experience with the two enough to tell if they are similiar? Also where are you getting your WEC baits?
  25. I have thrown a Super Fluke on a baitcaster with 14lb line for 10 years. The way I work the fluke is not conducive to using a spinning rod due to extreme line twists. It is the exact same set up for me. I use a 5/0 offset hook and I work it very fast. Sometimes if I want to work it faster and keep it down I take 3 Suspend Dots and wrap them around the bend in the hook. But now with the new swimbait hooks I have been experimenting with them and they may replace my Suspend dot trick. The only problem I have with the super fluke is not throwing it enough! It isn't the most glamorous technique but it flat out catches fish!
