  1. Yep. 6'6" Falcon Bucco micro. "Herm". In a pinch with 30 pound braid I've frogged with it too. Not real heavy cover but it worked fine.
  2. S.O. has amistads in stock. Just saying. ?
  3. Their service was fantastic. Ordered friday night and the order was delivered early monday afternoon.
  4. Might just end up being your dream rod. In my eyes a MH mod fast rod is the best all around rod you can get. Very little you won't be able to throw with that rod.
  5. Make your own. Cut the front hook off a treble hook.
  6. I meant what I typed. I cut my skirts short and play with nail polish. Not like I drink the stuff. Anymore. ?
  7. I just bought another one last night. Great reel for a hundred bones. 5 year warranty too.
  8. If it has a skirt I'm cutting it. Spinnerbaits, jigs, frogs. I also play with nail polish alot.
  9. Another junk reel and some new line to try out. I know I will just end up going back to braid though.
  10. I like Randy but he really should use a cup and a half of sugar...
  11. Try putting a drop of oil on the spool shaft where it passes through the pinion.
  12. Me too. 3004 hs. Still have it and still use it every now and then.
  13. I've had pretty good luck with fishing clothes from thrift shops. Columbia fishing shirts, Nike and Under armour dri fit type shirts, Nike and Adidas golf shorts. Stuff like that.
  14. For $70.00 get a falcon bucco trap caster from S.O. For $150.00 grab an amistad too and have a nice frog rod. ☺️
  15. Maybe bring up the idea that if the DNR doesn't stock it, someone else will try and that never turns out well.
  16. You sure about that being plastic?
  17. They're $4.00 at Walmart so why not use them. The biggest benefit to me is you can get them in bright colors. I fish a local park quite a bit and may hike a mile or so through the woods. Makes the rods easier for people around me to see them. I'd feel kind of bad if I ever poked someones eye out on accident. And no, I would have no problem doing it on purpose! ?
  18. For $40.00 it's a nice rod. The 7 ft. MH is a bit of a meat stick but a good value for sure. http://stores.sheltonsclothing.com/quantum-icon-pt-baitcast-reel/ Link for a reel suggestion.
  19. Welcome back. Been a long time since you've been around.
  20. Falcon lowrider for $100.00 and a Quantum icon for $40.00.
  21. The first one. Talk about a never ending rabbit hole after that. ?
  22. Everyone's going to think I've lost my mind but I would try a frog on it in sparse cover.
  23. I agree with Kent. I'd pass. Maybe a eucha 7'2 in a lowrider? It's a Falcon. It will fish light. I have never wanted a 7'6 mh fast rod. In a dobyns that would be wanting a 735 and they offer you a 764.
  24. This is the first time I've logged on to BR in a long time. It's terrible to hear of the loss of another long time member. I remember Al pretty well. I'm so sorry for his families loss.
  25. Trilene knot for everything. Does not matter what line I'm using or what I am tying to.
