Hello folks, Our bass season is finally open! Now it's GAME ON!!!! I went out in the evening opening day (Saturday June 28th) to a channel that branches off of the main river that I frequently target. I was in search of the "warmest water" and weed growth. And, due to the dark bottom and shallow depths, the warm water and weeds were there. I trolled into the channel throwing a Baby Bass coloured Super Fluke targeting the aggressive fish in the area. After I was confident that I found/caught most of the aggressive fish, I slowed down using a 6" Watermelon Seed/Chartreuse Swirl Stik-O and caught a couple more. Here are a couple of better ones from opening day (both caught on a Stik-O):

If you can get over the shimano on a daiwa thing...go advantage. I just sold 3 Fuego's, a Sustain, and a Steez in favor of my advantage. If you go shimano I'd get the saros. Yep, I have a Saros on a Crucial and I love it! 8-)

Thank goodness there are restrooms at the ramp. By the time I get there that coffee has kicked in and you will see me legging it trippingly toward the facilities. Yup, there has been a few times where I had to look for an uninhabited island or shoreline to................well, you know. ;D

So you do you them in spinner baits, I caught both bass on a booyah spinnerbait which has a long BIG hook i like them for the money Yeah, I do use trailer hooks on spinnerbaits about half the time.

I get up early and fish (I fish in the evening too though).

Right on! I think trailer hooks are a matter of preference. Personally, I don't use them on buzzbaits (spinnerbaitsnow thats another story ).

Oh, and you'll love those Cavitrons!

From the top of the Behemoth you should be able to see our BPS (its in the same area as Canada's Wonderland) ;D. I should see if the better half wants to go for a spin on it. We haven't been there since they built that thing .

Ouch! I did that a couple of years ago. I had my cousin push the hook all the way through and cut off the barb. :-[
