  1. 1)Arrogant people 2)Getting cut off in the middle of a sentence by someone who's obviously not listening to a word you said. 3)People who think buying a $500 reel to go on a $500 rod makes them a better angler than you because of it. 4)Intolerant people
  2. Being a recreational angler,I voted for BASS from the standpoint of a fan who likes to watch televised tournaments and read good fishing magazines. No glory dreams of "going pro".BASS just has a whole lot more coverage than FLW.The magazine, while not perfect, is much better than FLW's.That being said,I also like to watch FLW coverage(just not enough of it),and I like to read their magazine. It's not a bad read.Just not as good as Bassmaster Magazine.
  3. When I see rod and reel combos with the brand Shakespeare on them I automatically think"cheap junk".
  4. My goals are to fish as much as possible and enjoy the experience.Catching numbers and size bass are fun.Learning and improving new ways to catch 'em is also enjoyable. When I go and get skunked,I can find something to make the outing fun.
  5. My last name is McCoy which is Scotch-Irish.Mother was a Campbell.
  6. 1)Open Range 2)High Plains Drifter 3)Unforgiven 4)Pale Rider 5)The Good,The Bad,and The Ugly
  7. Yo-Zuri Hybrid low vis green in 20 lb test is excellent.
  8. I have a lot of success with floating Rogues,floating Rapalas,buzzbaits,Tiny Torpedos,and Devil's Horse.
  9. My favorite creature bait is the Zoom Baby Brush Hog for flippin'/pitchin' and C-riggin'.
  10. Good choice! I own several of each size mentioned, and I'd have to say the 6'6 rods are my favorites overall.
  11. I went with Yamaha because that's what I currently use.Bought it in '05,and it's still performing just like the first time I took it out.Owned an Evinrude before the Yammie, and it was a good, solid motor also.It had just gotten a little too old.
  12. DD22's,along with the Rapala DT series, are the best imo.Take a shad pattern,a crawfish pattern, and a loud color for off colored water such as Chartreuse w/blue back shad pattern.
  13. I voted F as well.It was so bad that I only watched about 15 minutes total.
  14. Many are won with powerfishing techniques, and a lot are won using finese fishing. So I'll go with a mixture(although probably more are won with powerfishing).
  15. I also use Big Game for many of my bassin' applications.Strong, durable, abrasion resistant, and cheap!I've not noticed that it has a whole lot of stretch to it though.
  16. I use mostly baitcasters. They fit my style of fishing.I like to powerfish with spinnerbaits,crankbaits,jerkbaits,pitchin'/flippin',and several other techniques.I also use a couple of spinning rigs for lighter lures and for finese fishing.I really get into dropshotting, splitshotting, and throwing weightless plastics. That's where the spinning rigs come into play.
  17. 2 or 3 20 oz. Diet Cokes,a can of Timberwolf snuff,and a pack of Doral Lights.
  18. I'm really into C-rigging.It's a great way to put 5 in the livewell.I also am nuts about pegging tubes and creature baits for pitchin'/flippin',the drop shot rig, split shotting, and the shakey head rig.All of these are great when the chips are down, but if I have to choose one I'll go with the C-rig.

In addition to my favorite,Chrome/blue,red craw pattern and Tenn. shad are 2nd and 3rd ,respectively.
  20. I think it's admirable that you fish instead of drugs, drinking, getting into trouble, but if you tried maybe fishing 4 days a week(that's still A LOT!!!) Mom might give you a little slack. You don't want to do something so much that you burn out on it.The fact that I only get to go lately once a week(if I'm lucky!) makes me truly appreciate the times when I am fishing. As was said,"Everything in moderation".
  21. I really thought Fish was an excellent MC at the BASS tournament weigh-ins.I don't think the current guy is as good or entertaining as Fish was.I don't know the story of why BASS would get rid of Fish in favor of the other guy,but weigh-ins are certainly not as entertaining without Fish at the mic.I wish him the best of luck in any new fishing industry endeavors.
  22. I rarely change the hooks or split rings. The only time I change hooks is when I've had the hook straightened out by a big fish which has happened a few times in the last few years.
  23. I use the Bleeding bait flipping tubes by Strike King and have had lots of success with them. The Strike King and FLW(Manns) flipping tubes are my favorites.

My favorite is chrome with a blue back.

I use lead weights, but plan to switch to tungsten especially for flippin'/pitchin' weights.I think tungsten would allow me to "feel" the bottom much better on Carolina rigs, also.
