  1. throw it a few feet away with a soft splash that type of fish can be impossible to catch
  2. for senkos i use 10lb fireline (Gray) on a MH spinning rod Detection is easier with superlines The MH helps set the hook and pull fish out of thick weeds
  3. you guys rock nothin like monster smallies
  4. Also in the fall when the water cools, 10-2 is the best time because the water is warmest. I like midday fishing because its easy to locate largemouth or lillypads

  11. 55 by myself last spring all on a jerkbait in 4 hrs. Most over 1.5 lbs including a few 3's My tendons in my hand hurt for 2 months (literally) I dream of another one They aren't very often but when smallies are on...the only limitation is how much the angler can handle
  12. I don't recognise that tree in the backround, so I won't be fishing there. Great Great smallie for N.E. 5.5lbs Nice Toggs
  13. I made a committment to fish offshore, away from the bank and it is paying off big time. I have the whole middle 3/4 of the lake to myself. and as a bonus I actually catch fish....it was a scary committment, much like marriage
  14. IDK but they work 7 days a week, all day
  15. I'm with ya man
  16. wow that is Epic nice job
  17. I slow roll them in 10' deep grass with a 6' deep crank that tickles the grass tips. Read some of the articles here Crankbaits can dive to 20' or so depending on selection and line diameter. Some folks dig the bill into the sandy bottom, like a scurrying critter. good luck
  18. I'm sure you didn't catch the biggest one there. Keep trying. Every lake has a secret to unlock. Good luck
  19. I have been a few times bass fishing out of Fort Wilderness with their guides. They offer a special noon trip for a single person for $100. They just got bass boats 2 years ago. Before that I fished on a houseboat without a trolling motor. (silly) I caught lots of bass with the biggest being 5 lbs. Although they advertise catching a ten, the guides have never heard of one being caught there. Shiners are free or you can choose lures. they provide everything. The lake is big and beautiful with lots of deep grass lines and shallow cover and some docks. The guides work hard and run and gun to find fish. the guides are nice too (of course they fish for a living). I wouldn't pay $200 for 2 hrs of fishing there.
  20. sweeeet!!!!!!!!!!! great pics too
  21. Ok you got me. 2-15 on a digital scale I guess that our trick photography doesn't work with you guys. it was fun while it lasted. thanks ya'll
  22. definately over 4, you can tell by the length compared to the width of my shoulders ps. I have big hands too
  23. I have been using 8" senkos for 2 years and if the smallies are in that mood they like them. I wacky rig em with a 3/0 wige gap hook and wait a few seconds before setting the hook. The fish are no bigger, it just weeds out the 6" fish. I've caught 1lb bass on it. I don't use them often but they do work and you can cast them a mile.
  24. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
