  1. Yeah we were fishing around the bubble. I really don't like the Fairport area though. There are way too many other better places on Erie to go. I am pretty much Directly south of Cleveland, so I can go east or west from my house and get into some better areas pretty fast. I went out again today but the wind was blowing too hard, and the waves were flat so there was nothing to slow you down drifting, and a little hard to drop shot effectively. Stayed in a harbor and caught some largemouth and a couple small smallmouth. Really good for a day like today.
  2. Cool video I would problably be an uncool guy after that net job. But ya know it is what it is. A very large bass that got away. I can just imagine how Mr. Skinner felt about the guide after something like that.
  3. Launched out of Fairport harbor and went east a few miles. My dad is still a member of my old club and they have a paper tourney up there next week so we went to make sure the fish were active. I will be fishing today On Erie about 80 miles west. Just past Lorain. Hopefully I will have more pics this evening.
  4. Went today but had to be home early so my dad could make it to the tribe game. Did o.k. Here was the best of the day 5 1/2. Good thing is I bought wifey a spa treatment and I can spend the whole day out tomorrow. I will have more for u tomorrow.
  5. Sad because a fish actually live long enough to grow that big? There is no way anybody on this earth could make me believe that there are not many, many largemouth in that weight range. Am I wrong to think multiple bass in the same year class, in the same lake and eating the same forage are present? IMO the next world record will be out of Mexico because of the much larger less pressured lakes. Tilapia get at least as heavy as a 12" rainbow trout problably. HHHMMMMMMMM? Maybe Dottie had been give FGH (fish growth hormone) over the course of being caught a couple times. Honestly I think the next world record will be caught by some lucky guy on a vacation to mexico. Could be anybody!
  6. I voted for KVD because I too thought of match-ups. Kevins power fishing skills and fish finding abilities would have set much higher records to beat from the get go. Remember the pics of the bass nailed to board! Read the new bassmaster and the article on page ten of a ten bass limit that weighed 1 pound 13 ounces!! Kevin fishing those low pressure lakes lakes where earlier events were held with his fishing style IMOH would blow away the competition, with the equipment they were using at the time with the knowledge they possess today. AL LINDER IMHO IS "THE GREATEST ANGLER" BARR NONE. I really respect Hank Parker he has won 2 classics and got out in time 2 make some real money. Do you really think any touring pro (barr shaw he might be close) pulls in anywhere near the dough of Hank ? No friggin way1
  7. Ya gotta let the chicken liver "ripen" in the sun for a day or two.
  8. The suspending rogues and x-raps wack em too.
  9. I have seen a .72 weighed in in a club tourney they had to flip it over a few times to make it measure.LOL I don't think I would approach the scales with an .72 .To risky for me
  10. I caught a 5-9 smallie that was 18 inches long literally. I wish I had the pics to show the girth of that fish. It was july at Erie so I don't thinks she was full of eggs. I think she have may have just gorged herself, her belly was huge and her back was a good 4 inches plus thick. Some Erie fish just amaze you especially the range of colors and striping!!!
  11. Bill Dance AND Hank Parker realized how tough the tournament life is and opted to go for the sure thing. T.V. personality. They are both set, and are both great teachers. Either one would be at least as competitive as Clunn. I believe much more competitive!!
  12. Let me just say I don't care who you are truthfully! If you would watch dance fish many many places very public. Nobody was talking about you just Bill Dance.
  13. YEA THOSE PICS ARE THOSE A LITTLE ODD!!
  14. BILL DANCE CAN CATCH FISH IN A MUDPUDDLE . lIKE IT HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE BILL DANCE HAS FORGOTTEN MORE ABOUT BASS FISHING THAN YOU KNOW. HE WAS A VERY COMPETITIVE TOURNEY FISHERMAN. DON'T FORGET THAT! HE HAS FISHED EVERYWHERE AND DONE WELL!!
  15. It was supposed to be a nice weekend for the big lake. Man I wish I wasn't busy today. I do have plans to be there next weekend though. I can't wait!!!
  16. WELLCOME!!!!!

  18. Buzzbaits and big thumpin spinnerbaits!!
  19. hello!!!!
  20. Guys the one- two spots are KVD #1with 55.7%. Rick Clunn #2 with 14.2% of the vote. I personally voted KVD but honestly wish I could change it to Al Linder.
  21. I dont Know I just wanted to show RW. I have heard him say he wants to visit Erie. And these are from last year. I will be going there next weekend. Fresh pics then!!
  22. Here is a 29.71# Lake Erie limit. The guy fishing with me had a 25# limit. All fish survived. We caught over 40 fish each that day, it seems crazy that you would need to cull 5# smallies. The smallest fish were in the 3 pound range. The first pic is my PB 6.4 but we catch many many fish in the upper 5 lower 6 range! Sorry the pics are a little blurry I had to take pics with my digital from regular film!
  23. I am not hijacking this thread by anymeans. I am gonna change my avatar for you road warrior. The one I put up will be the largest of a 29.71 pound limit. It's from last year and is a 6.4. I am going to Erie next week to catch a few for the fish across america.
  24. WELCOME!!!!!
  25. Fish in my area are not so affected by cold fronts thankfully!!I could problably go out today and catch 6# smallies or 4-5# largemouth but we just hade a really bad storm come through. (its still in the area or I would go out). Not affected here,
