  1. Why the big weed guard? And the flipping jig head? You really use that for smallies?
  2. I'll have to admit, I don't generally even look at those ratings. I use the rod, and through time fishing with it, a range of baits turn out to work better than others. I'd have to look to see if they align with ratings, but I'm sure I'm not overtaxing the gear.
  3. Call in sick.
  4. Gander is open New Years Day?
  5. Wouldn't it be easier (and legal) to simply pay for Netflix or Blockbuster and stream or DL the movies?
  6. Its awesome: Speed, you want to man up and do a New Year's Day river raid? The carpool leaves my house at 5 am sharp, Jan. 1.
  7. Janns, like everything else "tackle making" related. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/Search/spoons.aspx
  8. 20-25 3700 size boxes, some deep, some shallow. 20-25 3600 size boxes, again some deep, some shallow various FTO bags and wallets a few Falcon terminal boxes, in big and small four or five tackle bags in various sizes, and a milk crate for the kayaks
  9. That's IMPORTANT info that should be included in the review. I was worried that the blue can was bug spray - big no-no near your gear. Its a decent review. I'd break up the text with some images, speaking of which need to be a bit better in quality. Here's an example of one I did last year: http://www.kayakbassfishing.com/kbfBB3/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=2407
  10. Yep, its that fish over 6 or 7 lbs. that stands the greatest chance of getting huge. Makes catch and release of larger fish critical.

  12. He should have stayed on the water side.
  13. Why the big font? And prove it. Show me a study. If you mean genetics, as in Florida strain vs. Northern strain, then OK. Fish grow until they die. Environment (and I include forage in that) is key.
  14. Lets see some pics.
  15. Everyone gets on of these Seriously, plenty of good advice in here for a young guy to think about.

  18. The bag looks brand new. How long have you used it? How many shore trips? Is that bug spray tucked in a pocket?
  19. You can get a better canoe Wait until you guys see what is in the pipeline for powered fishing kayaks...
  20. Try the St. Croix site. Bass Pro doesn't carry the full line. http://www.stcroixrods.com/product/avid-series-casting
  21. Painting all BPS reels with the same brush? BPS puts everyone of their store brand products on sale at some point. You also get double points for purchasing their store brand products. There are very few items that carry their label that are equal or superior to the item they are copying. Truth is, I don't see many BPS reels. People tell me that they either completely failed after a couple seasons, or they gave them away. The Pro Qualifier may be a decent reel. Time will only tell.
  22. I moved this here, to the rods and reels section, but you might consider putting a "wanted to buy" post in our Flea Market section, if you don't get any response here in a few days.
  23. No difference. Weights with a slick finish slide through weeds better.
