  1. Isn't that the very definition of incompatibility? At any rate, you'll have to go with a Zillion for 30+ IPT.
  2. Truth, would you pay $100 for a graphite framed reel? Do you know of any graphite framed reels that are $500? Its a classic case of looking at ad hype, and not looking at the specs.
  3. Look a little harder. All the manus make cheap graphite reels. Here's some on Bass Pro's Site: http://www.basspro.com/Freshwater-Fishing-Reels-Baitcast/Large-Price-Under-50/_/N-1z11dcmZ8b1#Large%20Price Keep in mind, if you payed retail for a Bass Pro reel, you over paid by 25-50%.
  4. Uhhhhh, that's a graphite reel. Most other reel companies sell that technology for about $30.
  5. Don't be so diplomatic. Tell us how you really feel. She's getting attention for creative suicide.
  6. wash it all down with a DIET ORANGE CRUSH!!!!!!
  7. My buddy is an engineer and he's made his own fly reels. There are a few guys up here designing and machining their own centerpins. Its very expensive. I doubt the layperson would have access or all of the skills to make a baitcaster or spinner.
  8. The lizard is a really good bait. :-X BTW, those "senko knock offs" aren't ANYTHING like senkos.
  9. I'm on high alert.

    Everyone dug out yet?
  11. I doubt anyone has one lying around, but maybe. Did you call Shimano Parts & Service for a price?
  12. You should make "Bag-O-Parts" a service on your website. Do a little video, Billy Mays style..."Tired of e-clips shooting into orbit, or turning a perfectly good spinning reel to garbage" <dumps out 20 lbs. of loose reel parts> "Get DVT's Bag-O-Parts" reel package!" "Turn that pile of parts to new reels." <guy holds up brand new reel, teeth sparkle>....
  13. Think seams, or borders. Anything that confuses the flow, and is a good ambush point. Ever walk around your house and think, "If I was a bass, I'd live under that coffee table."

  16. I recommend sending your reels to a pro. I don't know about DVT Mike, but I get about a dozen reels a year that people couldn't get back together, or were assembled incorrectly. Some of these blunders were expensive.
  17. Useless. He didn't do anything.
  18. Where's my PM?
  19. In certain windows, as shallow as a couple feet. They come in to feed on gobies, alewife, and little stockies/smolts. The Spro Jr. has taken a couple browns. The High Power Herring would probably work, though you have to be real close to the size, especially for steelhead. Browns don't care, when they're eating, they're eating. This time of year, this is what rules: or these:
  20. Sure they do. My guess is that they'd simply avoid something that big. NONE of fish I've filleted from the tribs have ever had fish in their guts. Just eggs and/or bugs. Now, fish in the lake..... if it looks like an alewife... 8-)
  21. So what is the pattern in the pattern?

  24. You'd basically have to use a floating lure with a tiny trebles. I catch some fish on Rapalas, but the majority come from deep holes. Trust me, catching a 15 lb. steelhead, on a 10' UL rod and 6# leader is plenty fun. Toss in the centrepin reel, and now its silly.
