  1. I have a CI4 and an Avid AVS63MLXF. Caught the fish in my avatar with it. Great setup, can't go wrong with it.
  2. 3 most used rigs out of 20 or so. AVC68MXF/Alphas/10# CXX LTBC70MF/Zillion/12# CXX AVS63MLXF/CI4/6or 4# InvisX
  3. Stop your pouting, and beat him with his gear. Better yet, let him fish your gear, and guide him to a trophy.
  4. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at "neuro-excitatory." Looks like the kicktail shad has some competition in the BS dept.
  5. I shared what I was willing to share, and that's A LOT. 99% of the time, the actual bait doesn't matter. In my case, many locals know I post here, and do fish against me. You want a good drop shot bait? Anything on a drop shot rig will work very well in right circumstances. Try a kut tail worm or a Robo worm.
  6. You'll have to scratch someone from that list for the Pats. My vote would be SD.
  7. 1. A drop shot plastic which will remain anonymous. 5-12 Lake Erie Smallmouth 2. Ragetail Craw, T-rig 3/8 oz. tungsten 4-9 Largemouth from Champlain, Day 1 lunker, held by my partner Brutus 3. Spro Aruku Shad 4-3 Largemouth from Lake Ontario Honorable Mentions: Senko Jig
  8. Well, this has run its course.
  9. The fish in my avatar was caught on 4# InvisX. That line and the 6# size are GREAT on both Daiwa 1500/2000/2500 (ACS Spool) and Shimano 2500/3000 size reels.
  10. Come on J ~ you sound like a Yankee fan. A-Jay And is something wrong with that? Absolutely Not. I should say that I am a displaced and life-long Red Sox fan. Although last season was frustrating for both teams, I'm looking forward to this year's Rivalry to be competitive. A good day on the water followed by a night of Yankee vs Red Sox baseball (along with a cold adult beverage) is tough to beat. A-Jay If they deal Blanton to the Sox, I'm calling collusion.
  11. I'd be looking to get him a multi purpose rod that will be nice to throw Senkos. That way, when he's getting his butt handed to him by you on some other bait, you can share that new bait with him.
  12. I think its funny and sad that you're keeping score. It isn't a competition.
  13. I'm probably better at fishing largemouth, but I do love the smallies too. Some nice catches from this fall:
  14. It may matter sometimes. Its really about being able to make the observation, and then the proper adjustment. Otherwise, its a stab in the dark.
  15. Try learning to fish big swimbaits. :

  18. Amen to that! All I can add is that it looks totally fake.
  19. LOL, total drama and nonsense. Reread the entire thread, and see who's misconstrued what. :
  20. Lee is a tool, and so is his wife.
  21. Phil, your forming an opinion that is admittedly not based on real experience. You in fact tried to use what "pros say" to bolster your argument. I am telling you real first hand experience. The fish in my avatar was caught on straight 4# fluorocarbon. It is one of a great many caught similarly using a drop shot system that was been refined over the course of many hours on the water. I didn't choose fluoro because its invisible nor its abrasion resistance. I chose it because it sinks, and in 38 feet of water, keeping a straight line between the tip and the hook is important to detect light bites. Braid fails here. If you tighten the line, the bait moves too much, and you have to use a heavier weight. Some days, fish don't hold the bait if they detect more than a 1/4 oz of weight. Glenn, what brand were you using? $1 says it was Vanish, LOL. I have very good results with 10 an 12# Berkley 100%.
  22. Jeez. I'll be thinking of him for sure.
  23. I don't wear panties...... LOL, you probably need to take more of what you read on the internet, and try it in real life, on a lake. Anyone ever try a Hopkins Shorty Spoon on braid? I bet that's fun.
  24. Sounds like you know it all then. Guess you don't drop shot, swimjig, crankbait, ripbait, or swimbait much, huh. BTW, invisibility is the LAST reason I'd use it for bass fishing.
