Yep. Its just rastorized text layer, and I use a series of transform tools to tweak it so it looked like it was painted there. I did a lot of weird copyright notices back then. It was what I call my "paranoid" era, LOL. There's a bunch more here: http://plan-b.smugmug.com/Photography/Pictures-Id-Like-You-To-See/901645_en55e#265077604_7rWTC

Flippin'/pitchin' reel
I generally use a right hand retrieve casting reel, but I pitch with my right hand, so with a left handed reel, I can be ready for a strike quicker. These are what I use, front row, left two:

Flippin'/pitchin' reel
All I care about is that its got a solid frame, and the handle on the left.

Time to get an auger.- Briery Creek and HP limit
I know a bunch of guys that fish it regularly, but they all fish it from kayaks. I was supposed to go down in a couple of weeks, but I have to work a show up here that weekend.- Non-boater Tackle Bag questions
I use a Flambeau AZ8 or AZ6, depending on the water and the boater.- Parts
Received the part a few days ago, and installed it. Reel works like new. Thanks Greg and Marc.- deep jerkbaits??
Thanks Primus. That's the window I was talking about. Perhaps its a Great Lakes thing?- Need help interpreting maps.
Google, Angling-Tech, and Acme all use the same satellite imagery, and who knows how old it is. If I look at my house, it a shows the yard as it was in 2004. that's six years ago, LOL. Anyway, that's silt. It looks like everything runs into this lake, and settles. If it were me, adn i wasn't fishing nearby St. Clair, I'd be spending time off Eastwood Beach. During the spawn, I'd be fishing in the cove by Baypoint Beach and adjacent to the launch. That said, I could cover this lake thoroughly in one or trips with just my kayak. Shouldn't be too hard to hunt and peck for spots. I'd be paying close attention to how others fish this lake, and not play monkee see monkey do.- Heavy or Xtra heavy
XH/moderate.- deep jerkbaits??
Nice write up, now what about deep jerkabaits? ********************************************************** Roadwarrior, that's pretty much my approach to it, but I simply don't get bit outside of that narrow time frame. It's gotta be a local thing, because I'm not the only one up here that shares this experience. And yet, there are a few guys that do well with them at other times.- lilly pad techniques
I'm thinking this is pretty close to what the OP is describing. I like Bassin_Fin@tic's swim jig ripping plan. Something I'll file in the memory banks.- deep jerkbaits??
I like Staysees and Pointer DD, but honestly my experience has been there is a small window of opportunity with these baits. Primarily prespawn before smallies move shallow. I probably need to do some homework, and figure more out about when these work other times, but for now, their use is pretty limited.- Building my Tackle Box
I usually outfit a newbie with moving, reaction baits, where it will be easy for them to detect the strike. Spinnerbaits, Paddletails, Hard Jerkbaits, Cranks, Topwaters, Buzzbaits, etc all fit the bill. Once they have the hookset and landing the fish down, I'll have them start thinking about each bite critically. After they understand the idea of "locating" biting fish, and developing a pattern, then I'd show them a slower, feel bait, where they'll have to develop a better sense of detecting the bite, and put the bait in the right spot. I personally think something like a Senko is a mistake that might lead to many fishless days on the water, aimlessly casting at slack water.- My Dog Died
That sucks, man. I'm really sorry. I've lost a couple dogs where it was worse than losing a friend or family.- X-factor rods at Gander Mtn
Type "vendetta fishing rod" into Google- X-factor rods at Gander Mtn
I saw them too. They seemed pricey when held up next to a Vendetta. - Burley's Random Photos of the Day
