  1. When you get dragged all over the place because your anchor won't hold, you'll get it.
  2. 2/0 EWG is what I'd use. Agreed, and the Keitech plastic is similarly fragile as GYCB's plastic.
  3. That is MOST DEFINITTELY a chain pickerel in the picture above. This is a northern pike:
  4. My GF's father has an 18' Bass Buggy. It isn't bad, if you're just anchored up, and fishing for panfish. You won't be probing docks with ease, but it's do-able. Kent ( @roadwarrior ) has one, IIRC. They are really nice for offshore fishing, ledges, or drifting for smallmouth, with a group. Look for one that has chairs on the corners, and lower rails at those points.
  5. First off, any Esox species are delicious. Pickerel are often too small to bother with all the Y-bones. There are some lakes where they are over populated. I often catch my limit of ten on Oneida before the sun is up. I have some friends that own a Chinese restaurant, and they take my limit every time to feed their family. In exchange, I get some take out after a long day on the water. I really don't mind catching them, but they do tear up lures - frogs and spinnerbaits in particular. They can be irritating in a tournament as well.

Absolutely not. Thanks for asking first.
  7. Good call on Lifeproof. They are the best in the biz when it comes to waterproof cases.
  8. I typically always have mine on, though I take it off briefly to air out. I use an inflatable, so it isn't really bulky or hot.
  9. I use a Falcon FTO spinnerbait wallet. It holds around 20 baits.
  10. It's not worth it, mostly pike. The boat we took in there was a 18' Gambler that drafted very shallow. It's 2-3' deep
  11. Yeah, I remember, I'm 46. Luckily, by around 86-87 longer short came in and haven't left, thank goodness.
  12. Those shorts are something else. Kind looks like Rick Clunn.
  13. Because I like St. Croix rods better than Dobyns. Also, I have not fished anything less than Champion Extreme from Dobyns, so I can't comment on the lower lines from them.
  14. It's either an imperfection or stain in the cork that the sealer brought out. As mentioned U40 is pretty much clear.
  15. Happy Birthday! Best wishes for your bother in law!
  16. I like to call this "igniting the bite." Happens pretty frequently with smallmouth bass up here.
  17. Slim to none, and since what the loons are using in their gizzard or crop (whatever) is gravel, it's not our stuff that's getting included.
  18. You may run into interference on graph, so it's best to runoff a smaller, separate battery.
  19. It happens to the best of us. It's not the norm.
