  1. One of the largest fish to come across the rail of my boat was taken by a Tiny Torpeedo. 8-11 from Lake Moultrie.
  2. I like that Kastking pink line. Been using it since last spring.
  3. Virginia would be my choice.
  4. I fit this profile....always trying to force a jig bite. I've gotten better at making the adjustments.
  5. On the top end, Ultrex. I need a cable steer to be able to work around docks where I fish. Electric steer can't react in the windy conditions I often face. If electric steer is not a deal breaker, then the Terrova or the Powerdrive have iPilot.
  6. Little different splash, and there's a bit more noise with the blades. I often use a quick spook retrieve. You'll know you have it when you hear a steady click-click-click.
  7. You typically would not just cast and wind a Torpeedo. Use twitches, sweeps, and walk the dog retrieves.
  8. This is by far the best folding net I've used. https://www.yakattack.us/leverage-landing-net/
  9. The Medium would be the one to get. The MH fishes best toward the top of it's range, close to and a bit over 1 oz. baits.
  10. I have both Okuma EVX cranking sticks. They both fish a little heavier than rated. The Medium power model is the more versatile of the two. The MH is definitely for big plugs. I reallu like them both. They're sensitive, so you can feel right when you run into something to back off and finesse the bait through cover, have the right moderate taper for good deflection when bumping bottom and cover, and the handle is very comfortable.
  11. They come with hooks these days.
  12. Of course, that's what makes them weedless, but they all come with a hook.
  13. Any weedless Hudds I've ever gotten had a hook.
  14. Agreed. A partial lunar eclipse from a couple years ago.
  15. I like creamy Jif. If I want peanuts in it, I put unsalted whole peanuts in the sammy. More often though, I put potato chips in there.
  16. They actually have a 24" unit for $12K. These are for serious vessels, though.
  17. Money no object, 2x12 at the console, and the 15 up front. You can have imaging or side scan on one at the helm, and the gps on the other. Up front, you can use DI or chirp, or split screen with GPS, and still be able to see everything. There is no difference between a 5, 7, 9, 12, or 15 SI/DI GPS units, just the screen size. Get as big as you can afford. Get educated on mapping software, and networking the devices. Of the latest I've gotten to use on the water, The Solix is about as nice as they come. I used a a Solix 12 SI/DI GPS with the Lakemaster chip.
  18. Heir to a burger empire. *the original location is on Empire Blvd.
  19. The $10 jars are just to the left. 40 oz. $9.49. Obscene. The Jif brand 40 oz. jars are $4. This crap is just store brand.
  20. Bring them inside, and they're fine. We get oppressive humidity in mid/late summer here due to the lake. No issues since I went to hydroflo boxes.
  21. Easy guys, these are critical topics to success! Keep the useful knowledge flowing.
