  1. Be patient, we're doing what we can. As a web developer, these issues can be difficult to track down. There are many layers to a web app like Bass Resource, and it doesn't all involve one technology or discipline. Heck, you might be dealing with several agnecy's support techs at once. That doesn't mean they aren't working on it.
  2. My old reels are Pflueger and Great Lakes.
  3. No, and the handle was on the right. I have some 60+ year old knuckle busters with cork arbors.
  4. This! In a pinch, I'll use reel fill, but I prefer actual leader material over that.
  5. 6-7 mph top speed. Plenty fine for the two lakes that are restricted. We usually launch at the north end, run south, and fish our way back.
  6. Waders are another story. In fact, they're too warm. I prefer breathable waders, and adjust my base layers accordingly. I have no idea why this is.
  7. I had a pair of neoprene gloves, and they were terrible. I had the same experience. I use fingerless wool gloves now.
  8. I have a couple REALLY nice lakes that are restricted for powerboats: 17' and 10 HP max. My buddy has a 16' Lund w/ a 50hp and 9.9 kicker. We only run the kicker, and as far as I know, it's legal.
  9. Look at the specs. 4 people would probably put it over the total weight rating for passengers, motor, and gear. I doubt they'd offer anything more then a 40, since the max HP is listed as 40. You can probably order a smaller motor for HP restricted waters. It's a surprisingly good deal, as is, considering what Catt brought up about the price of motors. That 40 has to be around $6K alone. You're probably looking at a little over $11K for the boat with dealer prep, factory rigging, and taxes.
  10. For my money, a good tent beats sleeping in the car any day. I have a nice Kelty that goes up in about 5 minutes. There's also some cool tents that hook up to the back of a wagon or hatch. It's just easier being able to stand up to get dressed, etc. It also sucks being trapped in a car in the rain. I'm sure you already figured out the pros and cons, just offering my two cents after doing what you plan to do for years. I have slept in my truck a few times. It sucked.
  11. Designed in Park Falls, built in Mexico, per the website. I believe the mandrels are the same, but there might be a slight difference in the layup. Maybe someone in the know can chime in on that. I have an Eyecon and Premier with the same taper and power, and they're identical. Those rods are at least 5 years old, though.
  12. I like those craw patterns.
  13. I've done this quite a bit, with zero issues. Just get a site with electric, plug the boat in, pitch a tent, and everything will be fine. You might even make friends with neighboring campsites.
  14. Mojo, Eyecon, Trout, Panfish, Bass X, and Triumph are made in Mexico.
  15. http://www.richz.com/fishing/blog/?page_id=552 It really is all you'd ever need to know.
  16. Roboworms and Crosstail shad will sit horizontal on the hook. Berkley Power Shakey Worms are another that come to mind. Floating baits are best with a no action approach. If you want to jiggle the bait, or do the lift and drop, something that sinks, like a GYCB Shad Shaped Worm or Pro Senko would be better.
  17. I drive a truck, and rarely shovel. But I did think of you today.
  18. I'm right on the water, so most of what comes off the Lake Ontario comes in bands. Can be white out in one spot, two miles away the sun is shining. When we get lake effect off Erie, look out. Devastation.
  19. Some developer humor.....
  20. We have around 4-6", supposed to be well over a foot by tomorrow.
  21. Actually, there is backing made from super line for fly reels and centerpins. It's lighter than mono.
  22. Flipping doesn't really involve any freespool. For pitching, I use a free spool, and high braking.
