  1. For me, that would be two rods. On for 1/2 oz. another for up to an ounce. Anything at the $200 mark or better is going to be good. Get into Legend Extreme or NRX territory, and it's really good.
  2. I can't get Macarthur Park out of my head now! Sorry, @Fguy having a little fun. Welcome aboard!
  3. Seriously? This can't be a real question. Like anything else that gets wet, wait and soon they will be dry.
  4. It isn't ALL about money, but profit is a result of many things. Not everything is driven by greed. You can't profit selling crap.
  5. I think it makes a difference. Seems like there's less less lag from when I raise my bait and drop it. It's a bit cleaner. This is especially true if you rely on the RTS band, rather than wait for the image to be rendered on the screen.
  6. You realize that's pretty much true for EVERYTHING, right? This is not unique to outdoor/sporting goods brands.
  7. Enough of the name calling. Look up a video on Roman Made, and see how they're made, and you might get why. If not, so what. No one is forcing you to buy it. Pretty silly throwing stones at, calling fellow anglers stupid. I agree, it's an obnoxiously expensive bait. I see it like a Lambo or Ferrari. I'll never have to worry whether it has the right action out of the box.
  8. Please. Let's not go there. In fact, we're done here.
  9. New guy stirring the pot. Wrong place for that. We have several articles and videos dealing with the topic of fishery management that don't stoop to insulting one method or another.
  10. I found 4 Daiwas, 2 13s, 6 Abus, 3 Lew's, 1 Pflueger, 2 Quantums, and 5 Shimanos. These are all 22-24 IPT reels suitable for cranking. I didn't include round reels in my counts.
  11. He means that his friend netted the fish. So, you catch a fish, I lip it or net it, take pics of myself, and toss it back before you can get a pic. Personally, I wouldn't have let anyone else net/lip/land the fish in the first place.
  12. Really? Took me about five clicks to find three of them on a favored retail site ranging $150-$250.
  13. Where I fish, it's a limit of one, and if you keep one, you're done fishing. That one fish has to be OVER 21" as well.
  14. Some of the higher ratios are necessary since some of the new spools are so small in diameter.
  15. Brush jig, 1/2 oz., wire tied package: http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Grid-Iron-Package-494.htm Then get Rage Chunks in Green Pumpkin, Blue Black Flake, Green pumpkin, and Black Neon. That's a good start.
  16. Totally. I nose hook flukes more than I rig them weedless. I just use my wacky rig rod for it and the hook that's on it. Works perfect. I don't know anyone would need all the extra hardware. Seems overly complicated for no reason at all.
  17. They are all over the place here. I don't place much weight in the report as I do in the person reporting. There's some anglers that are better than others.
  18. You should be able to sell that Hook 3 unit pretty easily. The kayak crowd loves them, and it's light enough to ship anywhere.
  19. You can do a bobber rig, or do a mini catfish rig. Basically, it's a light Carolina rig, without the beads.
  20. I know what your doing, and it is probably pretty weedless. After a couple fish, sometime my bait is like that. I'm talking the true Texposed that Tom was referring to as being pointless. This is the Texposer Hook. Dumb, and weedy. I know, I tried it!
  21. My Hemocuts are over a decade old.
  22. Never in a downward way!
  23. What I'm getting at is that cgolf is doing B. Actual Texposing is totally pointless (see what I did there?), and makes no sense to me at all. That's what I asked cgolf to clarify. If you're not going to bother putting the hook point back in the plastic, if even just slightly, then don't bother with a worm hook.
  24. I like that they left a ton of room for a bigger unit.
