Every bad knot I tied has never made it to the water, so I have no idea what it's like to fish one. I tie plenty of good knots that fail. This is a thread about fluoro. If you tie a knot, and the line is mangled, then you failed, and need to start over. Jose is a well respected angler, but that is poor technique.

Gotcha, I get it now. You want two bunk buddy style guides. They are adjustable and clamp on to your trailer. Cabelas has them on sale for $100. They call them mini bunks. They worked back when I had a little 15' boat.

I'm actually an anti crimper for bass. All the arguments for crimping are nonsense, to me. Though I encourage anyone competing against me in a tournament to crimp.

Something for your boat? I just aim the bow at the bow crank on the trailer. The bunks guide the rest. Maybe your trailer is not a drive on or you are backing in too far? What kind of boat?

I had a fish throw a swimbait, burying two points of a large ST-41 in my shin. I still fish that bait. I'm pigheaded that way.

That video is terrible. Maybe it's not a problem to mangle the leader on 30# mono like that, but that's a recipe for failure with line we use for bass.

You don't need sponsors to fish competitively, and you also don't need to fish competitively to get sponsors.

Do you think most rookie Elite pros just come up with the half million in expenses for a year on the tour? Sponsors handle that. Just curious what the purpose is.

No, there are circumstances when sponsorship is necessary. Did you read JT's article? I'm curious, is he looking to just get cheap baits, or is he interested in seeing this through.
