  1. Sixth item down, under spinning reels: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0/FAQ.html Pics 4 and 5 show where the shims get installed: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0/reel_maintenance_instructions.download.-mainParsys-000100-downloadFile.html/Maintenance%20Tips-%20Spinning%20Reels%20%281%20page%29.pdf
  2. Just fish it, loud, noisy baits that have a steady cadence.
  3. The creeks your talking about, day and half to two days, but it's got to stop raining. I bet they are blown out now anyway. There are still a few fish, but they hit the deeper holes where the water is less muddy.
  4. Stick to page one on this care sheet, and you'll be fine: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0/reel_maintenance_instructions.download.-mainParsys-0001-downloadFile.html/Maintenance%20Tips-%20Baitcasting%20Reels%20%282%20pages%29.pdf
  5. I would clear this with the tournament director, as it may fall under the category of "live bait."
  6. While I agree, Pizza Hut is NOT real pizza, I have been known to decimate the lunch buffet, lol.
  7. I like thin crust, if it's done right. We have two places here that are pretty close to the real deal, both run by Brooklyners. I've also had some pretty good deep dish from a place called Chester Cab. Coincidentally, the owner is from Chicago. The best pizza I ever had was from Lombardo's in NY. The slices were so huge, they lay out five paper plates, and slap it on there. Across the street from my house is a place called Guida's. Brick oven Sicilian thick crust with a sweet tomato sauce; great stuff if you like thick crust. For toppings, cheese, pepperoni, banana peppers and ricotta. Add some crushed red pepper and Tabasco to taste.
  8. Can't speak for him, but two years ago I was catching topwater fish in early April at my lunchtime pond. Water temps were in the mid 40s. Last year we were getting them in March on buzzbaits, but it was unseasonably warm.
  9. All X-Ship is, is a second pinion support bearing. It was added to the Symetre. Honestly, I don't feel much difference between my CI4s and Stradic FJ, other than weight. But then again, I have set them all up myself.
  10. We have a place in Rochester that makes a genuine Chicago style, deep dish pizza. It's pretty good stuff, but a totally different style. They're both pretty much the pinnacle of pizza.
  11. I like the LC Wake 3.5 and the Black Dog Small Shellcracker G2 for wake baits.
  12. You guys never been to Lombardo's.
  13. \Same here. Brauer, Duckett, Worth are a few I've met that were very personable. Got to follow Pete Gluzek at a fishing seminar this winter. That guy is is about as real as they come.
  14. Congrats! Your console looks like mine after a day fishing, LOL.
  15. There's a Portabote for sale in the Flea Market. Just about anyone I've known that owns them loves it.
  16. No hair jigs for those smallies, Kent? Also, take a look at my latest Storm jig, the Bed Bug. It's designed to be fished without a trailer, for bedding bass.
  17. Ahh, didn't notice. Looking at the exploded diagram, not much different under the hood. Same reliable gearing and oscillation setup. I do see they replaced the body side bearing with a bush, like much older models.
  18. Last year's reels are the same as this year's.
  19. We're closed to catch and release until the 3rd Saturday in June as well. I'm talking all summer long, mostly on the Finger Lakes. I think it's got more to do with a lack of waters that can handle 30-40 boat tournaments.
  20. They look different to me, but I've caught a few fish several times over on my waters.
  21. You're wrong here.
  22. No way would I wish a car payment on a guy that young.
