  1. Under warranty still? The thumb bar is attached with a screw, sometimes it cracks at he attachment point.
  2. I use the force to check my drags, but occasionally hook them up to a scale to validate my feel. I like 1/4 to 1/3 line breaking strenth or rod rating, whichever is lower.
  3. Or set it properly in the first place. No need to adjust it then.
  4. As visibility decreases, the line will look black anyway.
  5. It's a moving bait, the bass must react immediately, or lose the opportunity because it's gone in a few seconds. Outside of the rare moments that bass are actively and aggressively feeding, they rarely chase a bait really far. Think of the wires on a spinnerbait or a buzzbait. Same thing.
  6. The waxwing shot is stellar. Glad you're still out shooting.
  7. They don't make my favorite, you have earn it:
  8. Be very careful if you intend to anchor in current. In fact, I don't recommend it, unless it's just a very slight current.
  9. What type of boat are we talking about? Makes a HUGE difference....
  10. Some of my best fish have come on a Zoom Super Chunk.
  11. I'd rather stick a fork inmy ear than try to ties that Bob's knot in boat, lol. Alberto's knot for braid to fluoro. Works for stripers, it'll work on bass.
  12. 75 yards will give enough braid for a season's worth of reties. Plus, 150 and 300 yard spools get divided up evenly.
  13. slonezp, you keep a copy of that taped to your dash, don't you? I am too sexy for this forum.
  14. Yep, just flip it. If you have two of the same reel, start with 75 yards of braid. Then join the backer and fill it. Then transfer to the other reel. Take measurements of the backer as well, for the other reel.
  15. I went in. Ask Maico about it....

  17. This is what happens: Before: After: I've lost 25 lbs. of that gut, but got a few more to go.
  18. I found eating a pint of ice cream preferable to a small mint.
  19. Just get a clip on line counter. That's what I use.
  20. What no one told me was that the crazy urges to have a smoke only last about 5 minutes. Once I discovered this, it was easier to quit. Just tell yourself, the feeling goes away.
  21. I knew you'd drink the Koolaid. Just took some time.
  22. I have both, no difference, though the Pro Latches are nice. I usually use a solder gun to perforate mine for better drainage:
