Front Drag Or Rear Drag, What Do You Prefer?
I use the force to check my drags, but occasionally hook them up to a scale to validate my feel. I like 1/4 to 1/3 line breaking strenth or rod rating, whichever is lower.

Or set it properly in the first place. No need to adjust it then.

As visibility decreases, the line will look black anyway.

White Braid
It's a moving bait, the bass must react immediately, or lose the opportunity because it's gone in a few seconds. Outside of the rare moments that bass are actively and aggressively feeding, they rarely chase a bait really far. Think of the wires on a spinnerbait or a buzzbait. Same thing.

Braid With Fluoro Leader

Is Buying A Spooling Station Worth It?
75 yards will give enough braid for a season's worth of reties. Plus, 150 and 300 yard spools get divided up evenly.

Is Buying A Spooling Station Worth It?
Yep, just flip it. If you have two of the same reel, start with 75 yards of braid. Then join the backer and fill it. Then transfer to the other reel. Take measurements of the backer as well, for the other reel.

This is what happens: Before: After: I've lost 25 lbs. of that gut, but got a few more to go.

Counting The Days....quitting Sucks
What no one told me was that the crazy urges to have a smoke only last about 5 minutes. Once I discovered this, it was easier to quit. Just tell yourself, the feeling goes away.

Adjustable Tackle Boxes, Stowaways, Compartment Trays Blah Blah
I have both, no difference, though the Pro Latches are nice. I usually use a solder gun to perforate mine for better drainage:
