St. Croix Mojo Bass vs. Premier
I've heard from some rod insiders that two rods using the same blank (SCIII), AREN'T the same rod at the end of the build. Saying that the Mojo is a less expensive Avid is NOT a correct comparison.

Fishing Dream
I have had dreams where I am: pitching under a hedge line in my yard fishing the edge where the carpet meets the floor fishing a small manhole type opening (and pulling out big fish) and a recurring dream where water is coming over the transom and I am slowly sinking (not a fan of this one)

North West River
Four of us traveled their to hunt bowfin. We found super high water. The first day was a waste of time. The water was so high in the upper portion (everywhere actually), that you couldn't hardly see where it ended up in the trees. On the second day we asked at the bait shop and was told to go south. We headed toward the NC border and worked all the tributary finger creeks and started scoring bass. Short but, man were they fat and dark. Much darker that we are used to on the Potomac River. Only three bowfin but, the bass and pickerel kept us busy. 3.5" Lil Dipper buzzed on top was the ticket. We stayed in the North West River Park Cabins every night.

Not a convert but...
I've always been a Shimano guy. This past winter I picked up a Quantum Smoke PT REALLY CHEAP. It wasn't bad so I picked up a EXO 100 at a good price here off the site. Oh my. Really, really nice. It's at least changed my perspective on high end Quantum reels.

What brand and type of Life Jackets do you use?
Dave makes an excellent point. If someone checks your boat for safety equipment on the water, your PFD will not count unless you are wearing it. I was checked by Fish and Game in Florida on the water with no other life preserver on board. He said I would have gotten a ticket if I hadn't been wearing the PFD. I would check your state regulations. Frank Like this Quote THIS... INFLATABLE is the key.

In order for your PFD to "count" as far as the law is concerned, an inflatable must be worn at all times.

Thanks a lot Boy Scouts
When my son was in his last year of Cub Scouts as a Webelo, We did a three day, two night Scout camp in August. On the first night, we walked from the tent to the shower area. We took showers. On the walk back to the tent, we were completely soaked in sweat. When we went to bed that night, we both got little sleep as we laid on cots, on sweat soaked sheets. Miserable. In the morning, we went to breakfast and went back to the tent. He looked at me and asked, "daddy, can we just leave now, I hate this?" I couldn't have packed any faster. He's 23 now and we still talk about that miserable, miserable night. It turned out to be a story we like to retell and laugh about. A father/son memory that we wouldn't have had if I hadn't been there.

Got A Pretty Good Deal At Local Pawn Shop Today
And it wasn't even the unbelievable deal on a great rod, it was Magic Eraser that brought it back...

Burger King's New WHOPPERITO
I saw the commercial again last night. I think where they went wrong was the spicy queso instead of regular cheese. I like a Whopper w/cheese on occasion. I thought I'd be getting that wrapped in a tortilla. Not the case.

REEL GRIPS
Depending on the size of the knobs. I have them on most reels. They do tend to slide a bit. I purchased a reel from an B.A.S.S. touring pro once that received an upgrade in his sponsorship. He put drop of glue on the knob to keep them from sliding.

Me Likey
I have heard it a number of times as an employee has it on his computer. Not bad. They made the song "feel" very different than the original. Though I don't know about it better than the original.

Fell out of the boat?
I once set the hook on a fish sitting perpendicular to the boat. The seat pedestal screws gave way and I back flipped into the pond. I was back in the boat in a matter of seconds after going over.

Raingear...is it working?
I've used Frogg Toggs for years. They always rip and fall apart too easily.

Boat's At Night & No Running Light's
Excellent. I have a lot of customers that kayak on the Chesapeake Bay. Those flags are necessary equipment when the seas are anything but flat.

First ever Bowfin
My partner and I guide for bowfin in southern VA in September. Customers used to come for largemouth but, after catching bowfin, that's what they want. We are taking a fun trip just a few us us for a couple of days of big bowfin in September. When the bite is on, they are on big time. One of our favorite species.

Boat's At Night & No Running Light's
You would have been in the wrong. Anchored, 360 degree all around white anchor light. Underway, making way, green, red and white. Even under trolling motor power. Kayaks and small boats should have a white flashlight. Any lights on a vessel while making way that are contrary to lighting regulations are not allowed.

Medium heavy vs. heavy power options
I don't fish tournaments, all just for fun. I am beginning to move a lot of my rods to the next lighter rating. I'll still flip grass with a flippin stick but for everything else, I am going lighter. The rod still needs to be able to cast the bait effectively. The fight is more fun the lighter you go. I am not saying fish ultralight, just lighter than what is trending now. If I lose fish, I lose fish. All part of the game.

Raingear...is it working?
I am always hot. I sleep here in MD in January wearing next to nothing with the window open and a fan going. (my wife loves that...LOL) I sweat at the least bit of high temperatures. When it is really hot, you can squeegee my bald head. The first time people see sweat literally puring off my head, they can't believe it. I have a relatively expensive Frabill bibbed rainsuit. When I put it on, I sweat. When I take it off, I am soaked. I guess it's better than being soaked be the rain, I think... I guess the only way I'll be able to know it really works, is to go outside during a good rain when it is 40 degrees outside. Even then, if I stay out too long and start to heat up... That is all.

Memorial Day Murph
Bright side Dave, you could have squated and soiled. I hate when that happens...
