  1. If we are asking about all time favorites...
  2. James Dewarr from the Robin Trower Trio. And, you can add Robin Trower to the list of great guitar players. Nobody made guitar faces like Robin...LOL
  3. That is one of my favorite SRV versions ever. Stevie once said that he didn't play guitar, that the guitar played him.
  4. Quite a leap calling me a "Hendrix is god person", isn't it? Just from a simple rhetorical request on a fishing forum? If you read my other post in this thread, you'd get a better idea of my opinion. (all posts in this thread are but opinions) In my "opinion" very few can hold the proverbial candle to Danny Gatton. His guitar peers called him "The Humbler" for a reason. One of Joe B's mentors. Search other performances to appreciate his range and scope. Johnny B Goode...just when you thought that couldn't be fresh.
  5. I would love to see documentation on that statement. There are lots of anecdotal statements about Hendricks saying that about a few guitar players. Rory Gallagher is one that comes to mind. One thing for sure, Hendricks did NOT consider himself the best. Once when asked if he ever practiced, he said "no, that is why I make so many mistakes." When on the Dick Cavett Show, Dick made reference to him being the best guitar player in the world, Hendrix disagreed. Dick then said he was the best guitar player in the studio. Hendrix remarked, "how about I am the best guitar player sitting in this chair."
  6. Too many people equate best with most famous... Someone told me a long time ago that for ever great player, there are many just as good or better, that just don't get famous. They were correct.
  7. Cause they're shiny brass under the red?
  8. Buzzbaits by design track to one side. Just like the screw direction of your boat prop.
  9. Typically, the phrase is used to mean that someone harping on another's guilt, is usually the one that is guilty.
  10. I came home from kayaking today and the women came right up and started inspecting my neck and chest for hickys and my back for scratch marks. It's just getting ridiculous and this is the women who had another mans kid while married to me and she is accusing me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_lady_doth_protest_too_much,_methinks
  11. Nothing but spinning tackle on guide boats targeting bass and snakeheads in the spadderdock and hydrilla. 30# braid, 6-1/2' - 7' MH rods. The toughest thing for most clients is flipping the bail with the left hand, picking up slack and getting the toad on top quickly. Once they get it, no issues at all. We typically are actually IN the pads with a push pole so, we go get typically go get the fish.
  12. We had a 250 acre lake, same situation. The guys with hand carry boats had a blast. Make mental notes (or write them down) about edges, ditches, rocks, trees, etc. On our lake, you had to drag a boat 20-30 yards to launch. Kind of takes a lot of area away from the fish and concentrates them more. They still have to eat.
  13. Hmmm... Get your thing to be less "jellylike" by eating the jellyfish thing?
  14. Roland Martin did i YEARS ago in an aluminum jet powered to traverse a large shallow rock bed to get to fish.
  15. My fishing partner has a saying, "Facebook is the devil".
  16. I need to find this and post it in our office.
  17. X2 on the whole "on the pot" thing.
  18. And easy on the eyes.
  19. Back in the olden days, Bassmaster magazine was only available by subscription if I am not mistaken. It made receiving the magazine a little more special. You were a member of something exclusive and getting it sent directly to your home. That changed a long time ago.
  20. Crankin Stick 7' M Rattletraps and such.
  21. I owned a few Graphite Plus when they were made in Texas. Lure and line ratings are based on blank taper and power, not blank material. Nice rods when made in USA.
  22. And these http://www.bnmpoles.com/p-119-black-widow.aspx
  23. Fresh cut bait.
