  1. Look to the right and down, click on the logo...
  2. My son and I met Mike Iaconelli the winter after he won his first Classic. He was at a large fishing expo. We were the only ones to really come up and talk with him. No one knew who he was. Just him sitting at a table all alone. We talked for a while, while he looked through the bag of stuff we'd bought.
  3. 6'9" Castaway SB4 MHM, 15# Yozuri Hybrid.
  4. Once upon a time long, long ago... Bench reps were with 302# Both knees and both shoulders scoped over the years. I live in pain... If I had to do it again, I'd do it way different.
  5. If you read the description, it mentions Rad Lures. Maybe some connection. Even using the word "chatterbait" in the name. Copies wouldn't use the name.
  6. Those who have been here a long time will remember, "the harder I push, the righter I go". (or something to that effect) Let's see who remembers. Maybe Glenn or Kent could find the story and post it.
  7. I can find something that I will enjoy listening to in almost every genre with a few exceptions. That having been said, I can put on Amy Winehouse and listen for hours.
  8. Did you try the regional board? I find names of guys over there that don't come to the main boards.
  9. My old Castaway HG-40 Flippin Stick is heavy, slow.
  10. eat, eat, eat, they are great table fair. (at least the northern species)

  12. Bowfin, Mudfish, Grinnel... We target them in the Dragon Run Swamp in southern VA. We and our customers are from Maryland and can catch bass anytime. They want bowfin bad. I have never had many do the the death roll. Ours fight all the way then, flop (and bleed) around the boat while we try to get a hold of them. I don't think there is anything not to like about a fish that is not afraid of you or your bait. We've had them follow to the boat and just sit at the boat. Dangle the spinnerbait in front and BAM!. On a good day, we can catch them on spinnerbaits, jigs, flukes, poppers, just name it. All on the same stretch of cover/shore. Again, what's not to like.
  13. From my high school football coaches office wall: Second or last, there's not a d**n bit of difference. and: I don't give a d**n about anybody or any team, that is interested in coming in second.
  14. Selling to legitimate markets.(illegally fixing the books on both ends) The people that thought it was okay was the commercial fishing community where they lived and worked.
  15. As you probably read, "everyone does it". They alluded to another 10-12 boats out there at the same time they were doing the same thing.
  16. Rock Fish on menus. This guy's partner is already doing a year a day. This is a HOT topic in the Chesapeake Bay fishing circles.
  17. I have watched many times on Netflix, every episode of the original series. I've been a fan since childhood. He is my absolute favorite character from the original series.
  18. Sorry for your loss.
  19. My youngest daughter WAS a fan in the beginning. I kept a low profile. The first time my daughter heard her sing live "un-fixed" by technology, my daughter turned to me and said, "daddy, she's terrible", with a very surprised look on her face. Technology is Taylor's friend...
  20. I agree with the conviction and not the reversal. There is a site based here in MD for the Chesapeake Bay that has a great thread and story on two convicted poachers. That is what this guy was doing, poaching.
  21. Two words for why they moved the Classic to February, BIG FISH. Out of the ordinary cold for the southern US this year. Still, a good Classic. I like to see the showcase real fish catching ability in tough conditions.
  22. We both run boats with a Minn Kota remote control. We stand in the middle of the boat and operate the trolling motor. Partners switch off and front to back as they see fit. But, I hear you. Lot's of stories just like yours.
  23. Years ago (I was the 105 member at the end of 2005) a year before Long Mike took the mantel, this used to come up a lot. Lot's of grammar and spelling stuff and lots of guys defending the poor grammar and spelling. One in particular was TIN. (long gone from BR) Then one day, after a semester in college, he came on and apologized. He said that when he got to college, he absolutely sucked at writing and his grades were suffering because of it. He said that everyone here that had busted his balls about it was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. It DOES matter out in the world. Get it right now and make it a habit to ALWAYS want to speak and write correctly.
