We'll be going to the Trinity River but we normally fish the San Jacinto. Last week my friends caught about 300 between 6 of them!!! No females though.

Nice fish!! I didn't realize they got that big. I thought of them as a panfish kinda like blue gill and perch............

I like 1 piece rods cause they get better sensitivity. and they're probally stronger. American Rodsmiths H3 Titanium, and Fenwick HMX for me!

Heavy Braid for Heavy Weeds usally 40#-80#. I'll use 12 or 14# for just about everything else. Mono still has it's place, but braid is NUMBER 1!!! As for brands. listen closley DO NOT buy Spiderwire!! I like Stren Super braid and Berkley Fireline smoke

I sleep with mine ;D ;D ;D ;D J/K!!! I'll take the reels of and stand the rods up verticaly in my closet. I wrap the reels in paper towles and stick them in my dresser. When I'm transporting them I'll stick the rods in a 10" PVC pipe. You can find it at Lowes or Home Depot for around $20.

I have the old Curado B. And I LOVE IT!!! I've used the Citica and I'm getting one in a week or so. IMO you can't go wrong with SHIMANO!!! :)Out of the ones you put up there.....Curado B. I've heard alot about the D but I haven't tried it.

Most of the time that's me! All I usally drink is coke, gatorade, and water. Nothing else. Except for a Full Throttle or a Sobe once every couple months or during a night fishing trip.

Let's talk about the tourney...........I'll be able to fish in it, as will many of the Young Wise Dudes. But I'm wondering if the Old Cranky Kilt Wearing Dudes can get off their job of being greeters at Wall Mart!!! ;D ;D

Anybody here fish the white bass spawn? I'll probally be going on tuesday. It started heating up a week or so ago. In another week the big females should be up in there!!

I've heard about it for crappie. but never tried it. It sounds like it'd work for just about anything. If ya try it let me know how it goes!
