  1. I got some nice clothes, a new Broncos hat and Starwars movie posters framed and the best one of all in my stocking was something I have always wanted: A bass trailer hitch ball cover, made my Christmas !!!!!
  2. Sorry don't get to see my 4.5 lber unless you look at my avitar. it don't fit the "criteria"
  3. This. Best bang for your buck on the market. My brother bought me one of these for Christmas, I liked it, but the zippers on the top fouled up on it. Could have been a bad one.
  4. I want to either get a boat or even a nice inflatable so I can get ON the water not TO the water. I also want to concentrate on using a jig, haven't caught one on a jig yet. Other goals would include getting together with more of the members on this site and a new PB over 4.5 lbs. Good luck to all ya all in '09 Q
  5. With my skills and know-how, I'll take ANYTHING ;D However, I would love to get the 5 lber to beat my PB.
  6. Yea, x2
  7. X2! Welcome back to THE Bass list. X3 Fish on bro.
  8. I was just wondering. I noticed that forbizz was going to hang it up because of this. Here in MO they stock trout in certain areas, you have to have a special stamp catch trout but these areas aren't known for the larger bass caught out here, perhaps it is because we have abundant shad an other bait fish in our ponds and lakes and they get big without the govt. feeding them. :-/
  9. So let me see if I have this right....Does Cali stock the trout to feed the bass?
  10. Yea, but you can't trespass on private property, if that is why your getting kicked out. It sucks that allot of the places I see around here are on private property, I don't bother to ask them and just lick my chops at the thought of what I may catch there. You can always ask permission.
  11. That sucks, who had control over it before the developer got it? (I'm not anti development, I am a free trade kinda guy, but that is a drag) :-/
  12. Thanks, I have seen the purple paint and didn't know that was off limits. I assume that information is in the Wildlife code book. I only read the fishing.
  13. That is a question you will have to answer your self. If you keep trying then no, if not then yes your done until spring. I am getting ready to fish all winter because that is when I have the most time because of my job. I don't have a lot of luck, but I have the time and until all the lakes/ponds freeze over, I go. I have read most of the late fall and winter articles on here and get one here and there. If you feel like trying go for it.
  14. I have to say that allot of these annoy me too. Mostly the littering especially when garbage cans are right there. And Tweekers.
  15. This might help, Glen's post is very informative. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1128002349/22#22
  16. Weezy, I thought of this thread, it may be useful to you. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1140053667/0 I have fished with RottmanK9 and Valascus they are good guys, Val is in his early 20's and is close.
  17. There is a neat little lake north east of Grand Pass MO called Fish Lake. Someone told me about it and I wanted to check it out. I got there and there is no Missouri department of conservation signs (fish limits, boating reg's etc). It is along side of a county road, but there are fields on the other side, no fences, signs of any kind saying it is private property. How can I know if this is open to the public to fish? The town is so small there is not any businesses that I can go to to ask and I don't want to knock on doors in the area to find out. I'm not sure if it is part of the Grand Pass wildlife refuge.
  18. That's a power plant lake isn't it?
  19. Good luck with the write. I am glad that this forum has been a good experience for you.
  20. I gotta say, I haven't learned anything new about bass fishing on this thread, although I read each post. I do enjoy a novel now and then and I understand why this would be a point of research, because of the vast knowledge of the members. This is not the place for this though. I have been known to kill threads with my posts so if the admin. won't after 4 pages, then this might.
  21. What about us guys with out a boat and sonar or electronics? I fish the banks of some small lakes and ponds (central MO). Some I have knowledge of the bottom structure and some bridges and docks that produce well in the spring, summer, but now the water is getting very cold, some ice in shallow coves ????? P.S. these are land locked without streams and such.
  22. Well, you are asking for local anglers,at a younger age. I am always up to meeting a new fishing buddy. I may not be local, if you can afford to travel a little say Columbia or Thomas hill res. I can afford to travel that far some weekend. However, I am 40 and I ain't really "Hip" with the generation you are from but if you love to bass fish we can "relate". So....if your interested in an outing this is the place to find someone to fish with you.. I have fished with a couple of guys I met on this site and we had a great time. Fish on bro.
  23. X2 to you and all of you who risk your life, the spouses who scacrifice there spouse and the children who can call their parent a HERO.
  24. Yes. It is a nice lake and I joined in on one of the MO member tourneys. I fished it one other time with my brother. There is some nice bass in there, the winner of the first Anual won with an 8+ lb. Crappie fisher folk were lined around the banks when I was there. Quinn
  25. Yea, the gloves? Great feeling though!! I caught my PB 4.5 lbs. and I felt like I got off of a roller coaster. As for the phone, next time you get one wet, take the battery out, dry the phone with a clean cloth and (this sounds hoakey) put it in a zip-lock bag of rice. It absorbs moisture and most of the time your phone will work. This is not a fix for the moisture strip to cover your insurance etc, but you will have an opperating cell phone. This I learned from Kim Kommando the computer gal on the radio (answering a question from a caller who had washed a phone in a pant pocket). Good luck, and when I am on the water, I keep my phone in a zip-lok bag unless I am using it. Quinn
