Just got a phone call I didn't want.
Man, I'm sorry about that. My stuff is the cheaper stuff that you probably wouldn't want but it gets me by. But, I would be glad to send a donation if that helps. PM me with your address, I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.

Should I join a bass club?
I've been in several clubs over the years. This coming season, I'm gonna narrow it down to just fishing 2 clubs. To answer your question, you should absolutely join a club. You have to start somewhere. All clubs I've ever been in, everybody would welcome a non-boater. And, in my experience, the guys you meet will be some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and you will learn a lot from them, as they will from you. Good luck, and I hope you get started!!

What are your fishing Weaknesses?
Good topic, thanks for starting it. 1. Absolutely reading electronics 2. Get further off the bank, fish the deeper water 3. When it comes to tournaments, no more live or die by one bait (usually a french fry when it's tough)

Dropshotting
Hey fellas. Can you give me some ideas on what to use on a drop shot? I have used small flukes, very small finesse worms. Very little success, but have caught a few. Any advice on baits to use?? Thank you in advance!

Illinois Fishing???
If you're in Springfield anyway, I love Lake Springfield. Stay away from hot ditch in June/July. It has everything, laydowns, rocks, docks, structure, you name it.

winter fishing
Actually, it's a pretty shallow lake. With crankbait it was about 5 feet. With the fluke it was just under surface 1-2 feet. The main channel in the warm arm only runs 12-15 foot deep.

winter fishing
I'm from Illinois. Have been on Sangchris (powerplant lake) a few times in the past month. First couple times I went the plant was pumping so water was in mid to upper 50's, so they were biting real good. Mostly fluke and crankbaits. Last couple times I went, plant was shut down and water had cooled in low to mid 40's. Only caught a couple. Again, fluke and crankbaits.

Ice fish
My buddy and I ice fish a few local farm ponds. It's fun, but I prefer takin the boat to the power plant lakes here in IL.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Another Central Illinoisian here. In the big city of White Hall. Haven't been on in a while. I've fished Yeager a few times. Go through Litchfield frequently to fish a lot of tournaments in Vandalia. Went to Sangchris last Sunday and caught a few on a Shad Rap. Love that crankbait!!!

My Bad Tournament Outing
Ouch!!! I can't tell you what I think, my wife is sitting beside me. But my opinion....Flat out cheating, shouldn't have even netted the fish. Where's the dignity

Angler eccentricities
When my lure hits the water, I say out loud several times a day, "somethin eat that thing". Whether by myself or with a partner. And I kiss everything big enough to go in the livewell and accompany me to the weigh in

Not Happy with my Dad
Jeez vic, that was awsome. Im 41 years old, and have been fishing since I could tie a knot, and have never once been fishing with my dad. He's still alive and fairly healthy, (which I'm very thankful for), and retired. He plays golf :-/. Not my cup of tea, but I tried it. As for the thread, go to dads for dinner and watch him enjoy!!!

Wacky Rigged Senko Help?
I use senko's a lot, but always rig them straight on an offset worm hook weightless. My question would be, when wacky rigging, do you set the hook the instant you feel the bit, or give them a couple seconds? I usually let them swim with it a second or two before setting the hook. Thanks in advance

Looking for a Bass Club in or near Quincy, Illinois.
Hey Osran. Sorry I didn't catch your thread sooner. I'm in a club out of Jacksonville. I don't know if that is too far for you, but we always accept new members. Boat is not an issue, most of us are boaters, and everyone is great about lettin the non-boaters aboard at any time. Bunch of great guys. Let me know if interested.

I want to be in a fishing tournament!
I'm in two clubs. Both you can join as a boater or non-boater. I do have a boat. Anyone will let you climb in and fish. Bunch of good people in this industry!! I love the competition, adrenaline, everything about it!! Gives me chills just thinking about it!!
