anti-seasick tips?
Avoid acidic foods & drinks including coffee. Like A-Jay mentioned avoid alcohol prior & while out. Keep your eyes on the horizon rather than the waves in front of you. Ginger tablets help some taken 24-48 hours ahead and the day of exposure. If you want to munch try ginger snaps. Dramamine makes most sleepy & dulls the senses so I would not advise it. The patch behind the ear does work for most.

@Swamp Girl Gee Katie you must have large hands to wrap a smallie top to bottom like that. I have never been able to do that with the smallies I have caught.

This. I always thought they were talking about their team when they referred to we.

What's the max depth you'll fish normally?
I have caught fresh water fish as deep as 120 feet. Largemouth bass down to 25 feet. Smallmouth bass down to 40 feet. It all depends on water temps, water clarity & time of year, prespawn or post spawn.

Ledge Fishing
Try drifting over the ledges vertical fishing as you go. When your past the spot turn around & go back over it. You can use the trolling motor to stear your path as you drift.

Lazer cataract surgery
No to the patch. Going to remove one lense from my regular glasses for the treated eye since I'm near sighted. I will need cheaters for reading & close up viewing.

Lazer cataract surgery
I just got back from having my first lazar cataract surgery done on one eye before the second one is done a month later. I was quite surprised by how efficient & painless the whole procedure is. If your are on the fence or hesitant about having it done don't be. Medicare pays for scalpel surgery but does not cover the lazar procedure. So it cost you $1500 per eye for the lazar & monofocal IOL lense. I'm looking forward to buying nonprescription sunglasses going forward.

Hair jig size for smallies
Smallies will eat those small profile baits best when they are eating smaller baits on the bottom. Match the hatch always works. Just make sure your small profile baits have stellar hooks so when you hook the big one you can close the deal.

@Ski I wondered how that happened. Initially I heard he pulled her out of the canoe.

What’s your favorite rod manufacturer ?
I use to be a St Croix fan then switched to G Loomis then changed to Kistler because he was using Edge blanks. When that changed I went straight to the source. Edge rods are my new favorite sticks.

Are you in the Four C Club (CCCC)? If so, prove it.
As a 77 year old I only qualify as a coot & codger. The rest of you guys might want to look up the definition of crone before you answer. @Swamp Girl is pretty sneaky with her knowledge of the English language.

Just one look at that I think it is a traffic ticket waiting to happen. The police will pull you over for obstructing your vision while driving.

Cleaning your washing machine...
We use vinegar in the dishwasher too. Helps with hard water build up & leaves class cleaner without cloudiness.

I've Lost My Mojo
I have lost my mojo so many’s times fishing that I now keep it on a leash so I can recover it quickly. I learned how to catch smallies on Lake Erie by trolling crank baits & jerk baits. You can’t sucessfully locate bass on big bodies of water without a plan to divide the large expanse into smaller sections. General bass knowledge tells you that bass will be in shallow to forty feet depths. That helps eliminate the deeper water sections. So start your search shallow & expand to deeper water as needed. Once you find the right depth you can duplicate your search in similar areas as needed at the proven depth. Also look for bait & target those depths. Also look for structure like rock & weed beds & bottom changes. Ledges would be a great place to start in deeper water. And remember you can’t catch fish when they are not there. So keep moving until you do find them. Good luck & don’t get discouraged.
