losing confidence in our car.
@DogBone_384 is spot on with his advice. Previously I owned 11 different Toyota models including Corna, Camry, 4-Runner, Avalon & Celica with multiple Camry, Celica & 4-Runner models. Other than normal maintenance I only had to replace one battery & one muffler. Never any engine parts or suspension parts need replacement. We did trade vehicles between 50-80 thousand miles.

How often to retie?
I always check my line a few feet above my knot. I always retie after a big fish (not often enough occurence) & after numerous fish caught. I always retie after every day of fishing.

Yes his likeness showed up on someone’s trail cam who notified the police & they set up a perimeter around that location. Police men & drones subsequently located him.

Lake Baccarac Lodge In Mexico
@bacolmm I always carried my reels in my carry on so I could keep an eye on them. I always checked all my other tackle because of the hooks. I put my tackle bag in my checked suitcase. On international flights or when traveling with a checked rod tube we always allow for a minimum of an hour & a half between flights anything shorter is like playing Russian roulette. There is nothing worse than planning a trip of your lifetime & finding out your suitcase or rod case didn't arrive with you. I have seen it happen to others as well as experiencing it myself. When traveling with a friend I split up the important tackle so half goes in his suitcase & half goes in mine. I also pack enough clothes, hat & rain gear in my carry on so in case my checked luggage doesn't make it I can get through the week ok. I know it sounds anal but s*** happens so I try to even the odds of having a successful trip.

Wondering about Tom's Bass Wallowing
I have caught numerous large smallies early prespawn that wallowed once hooked. Best way to describe it is they are trying to jump but because they are so plump & the water is still so cold they can not get their whole body airborne just their heads. So you see them wallowing on the surface trying to jump but they can't. Later in the season once their metabolism speeds up they can & do jump completely out of the water.

I am appalled.
@Mlbassyaker I think he is still on cloud nine after catching that big smallie & leading the state to state contest for biggest bass. It's affecting his thought process.

How to know what the fish are feeding on
Sure fire way to determine the answer to your question is to check the stomach contents of a caught bass.
