  1. x2 Cash back cards without any fees & money in your pocket.
  2. This advice is spot specific or location specific. When fishing large baits & getting bit continue until the bite stops. Then it is time to switch to smaller baits. If you start getting bit continue until the bite quits. Then switch back to the big baits & see if you get bit again. My observation is that the fish will respond to one then the other. The trigger is the change in bait size when the bite declines. Try it and see.
  3. That is a common occurrence. Typically musky fisherman catch their biggest bass & walleye while fishing for musky with musky baits & tackle. Most bass & walleye guys catch their biggest ski while fishing for bass & walleye on said gear.
  4. Those are very good batteries once you get past the price. I have three in my boat & got 6 years from the trolling motor batteries before replacing them.
  5. Most high metcury warnings on the Great Lakes advise not eating said fish more than once a month. Pregnant women excluded.
  6. I think you just further defined time on the water! Well put RoLo.
  7. Great news. Hope it all works out. .
  8. It's all about time on the water. Fishing with good sticks will help as well.
  9. Take a page out of the musky fisherman's handbook. If you can not quickly remove a hook cut it. Buy a pair of compound hook cutters like knipex. Cut those hooks for easy removal. If the hook point doesn't come out it will be much less of a problem if cut short. This is a proven solution to the problem IF you are equipped to solve the problem. Instead of spending minutes trying to remove a hook you can cut it in seconds. & return the fish to the water. As a side note the same compound hook cutters can save your bacon if you ever get hooked by a thrashing hooked fish.
  10. That's an easy answer. All bass are Italian by nature.
  11. Not my best day but one of my better days smallie fishing by myself. Best six fish in mid May towards the end of prespawn on lake erie.
  12. The worst is over and the best is in your future. Stay strong & follow the docs orders.
  13. Sweet looking ride. Not your typical Ranger.
  14. Heaviest pair. Good thing you were younger back then Roger. Those look pretty heavy.
  15. I am not a tournament fisherman so all fishing is fun for me. Some days are more fun than others based on results. It's not always about how good the fish catching is but but how good the experience is.
  16. Great way to bring in the new year.
  17. Welcome. We have at least two retired coasties here & many buddies of coasties. You should feel right at home.
  18. Happy Birthday Mike.
  19. Maybe for specific applications. But 3x hooks are kinda overkill for bass.
  20. Hope it goes smoothly for you.
  21. The OP said. 2 oz spoons. That is pretty heavy for a flutter spoon. That is about the weight of a husky jr.
  22. Here is the link to that fantastic catch. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/126842-the-quest-for-a-50-inch-muskie/
  23. My goal is to get Jeff on a 6lb smallie then show him what an eight looks like.
