  12. Sweet video. Almost made me think I was there minus the cold.
  13. Big swim baits are not the typical search bait. The understood definition of a search bait is a bait that facilitates catching fish. If you are throwing a big swimbait and catch a fish it becomes a search bait. And the chances are it will be a good size fish. So I guess you could say that big swimbaits are a search bait for bigger fish. The only time I ever cast big swimbaits is when I'm looking for a quality fish. The quality of the catch has to exceed the pain of throwing the bigger baits.
  14. Andy has felt the afterglow a few times. It is a very special feeling. Great story el Tigre.
  15. X2. Sharp looking reel with the Hawgtech handle.
  16. I'll play Catt. Sounds like they might retreat to deeper water. I would be checking points in 15-25 fow. Under water humps or islands in 15-25 fow or any other structure you can find in 15-25 fow adjacent to the said creek mouths & points. I would slow fish a spinnerbait, a scrounger jig or a swimbait close to bottom. If that fails after a half day of searching I would continue for the rest of the tournament day same areas with a lipless crank fished close to bottom.
  17. Boomerang tool co. Extended cord for tackle bag or belt loop. I have used one for over a year and have been pleased with the longevity of the blades.

  19. Well when the folks down at IGFA told me they thought very highly of them & they were the easiest to get IGFA certification I thought they were a no brainer. I guess somebody else feels the same weigh.
  20. Are you going out of the Buffalo area or over by Barcelona or Dunkirk? Typically in the right areas you can expect to catch lots of numbers if using live bait. But the size will not be as big as you are hoping for. The only area I ever fished in New York for smallies in lake erie was out of sturgeon point marina near the town of Evans. What guide are you using? Pray for clear water & manageable winds & you will have a great time.
  21. Almost all other species big enough to eat them do. Gobies are fatty soft fined & easy to eat.
