  1. That's a solid reward for fishing in the cold. Beefy looking fish.
  2. Here you go. A pair for a pair. Now tell everyone what walleye13 stands for.
  3. Excellent observation & write up smalljaw67
  4. I agree. I watch the smalljaw site & I'm always amazed by the lack of 5 & 6 lb bass caught down there. The bass pictures that are posted up usually evidence long fish not carrying much weight. I guess the forage base has greatly changed for the worse. Its too bad because it was a historic legend at one time and the home of the world record.
  5. The light line requirement is not for casting ease but to get the best action from the bait. The duo realis 80 weighs 3/8 oz & is 3 1/8" long.
  6. Roger I always use a leader with 10 lb braid for visibility & abrasion and it adds a little stretch into the system.
  7. I think you can go with 6lb or even 8lb mono & still be effective. Or 10lb braid or less with an appropriate leader.
  8. Man that devastation is mind boggling. Just unreal.
  9. That size bass will warm just about everyone up. WTG Steve.
  10. If you buy a scale you won't have to guess.
  11. Mark your pair wins the contest for both cutest & heaviest. They need some tiger stripes though.
  12. Yea you got to be careful with those strippers no matter what the weight. .
  13. At least that picture proves you have both oars in the water. LOL.
  14. Your second caught fish pic looks bigger than the first fish. WTG on that trick worm.
  15. Excactly. On erie you can fish three rods in PA waters. So doubles do happen. And like Steve just mentioned when you get bit twice at almost the same time you have to decide which is biggest to reel in first. My second rod is in the rod holder with a looser drag hoping it will stay hooked up while I bring the first one in. Sometimes the 2nd one gets off. But sometimes you win both battles. Right A-Jay? Had a 6-12 & a 6-8 come in that way once. Sweet.
  16. Yea Scott sometimes you just can't hide where you are. But I am devious enough to motor over to a particular spot just to take pictures of fish caught somewhere else.
  17. Post up your favorite pair or pairs of smallies. It almost winter & some of us need a diversion from the cold & snow.
  18. Flake purple ghost Flake green Flake olive green
  19. 1. Fish a big fish fishery 2. Fish a big fish fishery 3. Fish a big fish fishery Explaination it's like real estate; Location, Location, Location
  20. I picked up one to try and subsequently have about six of them. They are more of a slash bait to me than a typical jerkbait. They have a very wide turn to them & are best worked very fast or violently. I would not classify them as a subtle bait. I also think they work better as water temps are warming rather than early when the water is still cold. As a side note pike will not leave them alone.
  21. Almost like lake erie right A-Jay?
  22. Along with what Mark has stated the state of PA forbids any tournaments during the trophy season which corresponds with potential spawning times. Obviously they feel that the 10% of the fisherman that catch 90% of the fish will not be doing it during a tournament format in PA trophy waters.
