Mine got loose yesterday after going to office to get my paycheck. My boss showed me his new quantum reel then showed me the cabela's catalog needless to say I now own a new qauntum reel and med/heavy rod, pending shipment. Then I go back to rig and get on BR and lo and behold "fish belly lure review". Pending shipment I now own a helix buzzbait and samuri twin blade spinner bait. Add to that the pfd I purchased from "MSBerry" and I'm up to $350 this week. I guess I'm just going to have to break down and order that cavitron buzz. I swore I was done for the year. ;D p.s. didn't see any "baitmonkey" smileys. :

Seems like there was a controversy on wether Roy hung himself or somebody did it for him. He was picked up on public intoxication.

Dam Dude, I could have gone my whole life without seeing those pics of bathroom & t.p. And with all the cigarettes and paper around it's a wonder the whole place didn't go up in flames. I had a friend whose house was like this, it was a trailerhouse and when he left it for forclosure they condemned it. Only me and one other friend were allowed to go inside and rarely did. He didn't have mental problems some people are just lazy slobs.

Anytime I hear Shaw Grigsby say "What a PIG" or any variation of "pig" it really grates on my nerves. ;D

Great story. Causes me to remember the first time I took my granddaughter, at the age of three. We were fishing a small pond and she caught several bass and a few catfish. Afterward took her for ice cream and she was telling everybody " I caught a MISTER LARGEMOUTH." Fond but somewhat sad memories as I have not seen her for over a year and a half because our daughter and son-in-law are not talking to either my wife or me and live about 500 miles away. But,anyway I have a picture with her and me and her first bass. I see it every day and am reminded by the biggest smile of happiness what a joy introducing a kid to fishing can be.

That's sad. Can you imagine how that girl feels. And yes, I'm almost 100% of the time, even while fishing w/trolling motor.

If it's too loud your too old. I guess I am, did meet them in a blues bar one night in Lubbock, Tx. They were just hanging out, they did get on stage and performed two songs, however.

We also had a little cold front blow thru this past weekend in west Texas. I was thinking the same thing.

I just tried out my Tru-tungsten tru-life (perch) swimbait. It has the weight balls for different depths. I didn't use any of the weights just as a floater. Liked the profile of it in the water , looked pretty realistic. Also when working it in by jerking I noticed it did a complete one-eighty in the water after it came to a rest. Seems like to me that would really make a big ole bass mad if his prey turned around to look at him.

Looks like within casting distance of "Hawg Heaven". Now go catch some bass.

Lather up a GYCB Fat Ika and pop it in your mouth. Chew it a time or two and spit the whole thing out. You'll be surprised, it's pretty tasty! 8-) YIKES! Must be the salt in the fat ika. ;D

Yes, I am a toolpusher on a drilling rig. There are no ground rules. Do what is asked of us or go someplace else, but I knew this when I took this job. In this instance we had another pusher with medical problems and my boss was trying to figure out the best way to cover for him and keep his bosses happy at the same time. It is really a very demanding job. I often joke with my wife that I have 2 homes 1 the rig and my vacation home where she lives. As somebody said before I guess that's why I make the big bucks(ha.) Anyway crisis is over and fishing trip is on as planned. Maybe he was just upset I didn't invite him. ;D

Well He reneged and looks like day's off are as planned. Fishing trip is on. I guess we both needed to rant a little .

O.K. I'm two days away from day's off, have booked a guide to fish the night of my birthday(14th). I'm stoked and confident we'll be on some big bass. My boss call's says dont make any reservations for day's off as he may need me. I reply I've already made reservations. At this point he totally blows a nail and tell's me don't make reservations without his prior knowledge, my day's off aren't garuanteed to take place when they're always supposed to and just ranted on. Told him I would cancel. He called me back a little while later told me not to cancel yet he would look at other options. So still don't know if I'll get to go or not. This is the same guy who put me on my personal best(my boss) and gets to go fishing pretty much when he wants and has even been with the owners of the company twice to Lake Baccarac, Mexico, this year. :-?
