  5. you go to your area fishing report and weather page once or twice daily and your day's off are another 20 days away. if you look at your wifes honey do list trying to figure out how to get it done so it won't interfere with your day's off fishing trip, then spend your last day off trying to get it all done. ;D
  6. get one of those metal stringers with the large clasps tie on rod open all clasps and drag around tell you find and retrieve

  10. fished a sexy shad all day the other day did not get a bite. finally about three in the afternoon i cast into a submerged tree and the tail section broke off right where the jiont is. nice price, cheap lure. pulled out the spinnerbait and proceded to catch fish.
  11. low budget didnt mean for that to come across like it did been on the rig for the last four days and am getting just a little testy, ya' think. anyway i agree with the big business aspect but they pay my bills so i can give the rest back to them for fuel. hmmm i see what your saying(lol)
  12. Low Budget Hooker wrote: oil and tobacco would be last on my list.....whatever would have to involve integrity. does that mean us oilworkers have no integrity. I am not a oil/gas producer just a grunt out in the fields. like to see how far your boat would run without us. but then again boats and tow vehicles don't run on integrity. but seriously to own and operate a marina/tackle-bait shop on any lake with my wife to run so i could fish everyday. I mean as long as we're daydreaming.
  13. Roy Greer if you have your own boat. Fished with him in March in cold, windy, rainy conditions for as long as we both could stand it. Highly recommended. Fished with another guide while there who will remain nameless. I'll just say that not everyone with a fishing report on a website is a good guide. Tom Redington was booked while i was there.
  14. has anyone else bought one of the $60 blackdog bluegill shellcracker. I know they catch fish(have seen picture with bait still in mouth) but will you actually be brave enough to throw it.$$$$. Yeah, the bait monkey.
  15. i have a 36volt trolling motor on the front of my 20' procraft, i also have a 12volt that was given to me. i have been thinking about mounting the 12 volt on the back of the boat. my thinking is that if my motor ever quits i can use the rear trolling motor to get my boat on the trailer. has anyone else done this or am i just being absurd.
  16. it is kinda a chick flick for men

thanks, roadwarrior, have read Tom,s fishing reports here and at another site. Couldn't really commit enough in advance to really hire a guide other then on 3rd, as you never really know exact dates when my days off will fall(5 a month). should i have posted in locations as i really thought i would have more replies.
  19. caught several nice fish last year nightfishing with a black chatter on a steady retrieve
  20. yes, you will have to travel alittle. Just due north of you 40 miles southeast of lubbock by Post is lake Alan Henry a sharelunker lake. Also southeast of mid/od is lake Amistad not sure of exact mileage but within 200miles. also around san angelo is several lakes. hope this helps.

i will be going to Lake Fork March 1-4. Have booked "the bass clinic" for the 3rd. any suggestions on where and how to fish the other days. How dangerous is the lake, really, i know there are lots of stumps, have been there once before but not with my own boat. Whats best way to find guides with cancellations.
  22. catch the 50 or so in the a.m. then hog hunt the rest of the day
