A close call mate. The key is to remain calm as you did. I almost step on 6 foot viper 2 months ago...i missed it by a few inches, i was lucky too. We have many close encounters with venomous snakes here (Vyron, C&R and Cybasser), so we should be careful because these reptile are camouflaged and very hard to spot

Hey, I'm thinking of buying some new shades BUT i ve heard some staff which made me wonder I hear there several types of lenses. Some of them being fully polarized and some of them having less crystals in the lens material (thus less reflective light is filtered) Is that true? Also please recommend me some GOOD quality shades. I want to have the best underwater visibility

thats a very small hook for that size of worm, try using 6/0 hook at least

well..same mistake every time.. Putting someone else to land your fish!!..the net guy snagged the crank out of the bass's mouth with the landing net, which is why i dont trust anyone landing my fish... If you want to break the record, you have to do it solo, that is the whole point

I use to fish bass with a pole rod/float and a live worm when i was a child, then my father brought me some texas worms once.. took a worm sliced it to small pieces and put it on my hook , im still waiting for the bite ;D. first time on carp fishing i left the rod between some rocks and waited for the bite...im still searching for that rod in the lake

the biggest cats i caught were when i was using experimental baits.. Squid (kalamari), and cuttlefish work wonders on on catfishing

fishing in midsummer under the sun with temperatures in the order of 106 degrees, with a hot burning wind as if was from an exhaust pipe blowin in your eyes and drying them.. Also having wasps, bees following you, spiders and thirsty vipers crawling everywhere :s.. Waiting for the sun to descent only to realize that a massive mosquito cloud is forming over your head, which is time to head home !

Had tonnes of incidents with other 'fishermen'... Last i could remember i was fishing for amberjack with live bait when a boat came out of nowhere, destroyed my lines and started throwing nets 2 meters from the shore in front of me >.. I went the same night with a 200lb test line, pulled them out and destroyed them with a hatchet. When i go for bass fishing i always carry a 13 inch throwing knife which is clearly visible :

great catches ( i miss pike fishing..and soon to miss bass fishing ).. Man...Switzerland is a freshwater fishing paradise .. When i had a trip there i fished in the lakes and rivers near Bern, Lausanne and Lucerne..saw some amazing things and caught some really nice trout BUT didnt now there was bass there

In the 'lake' im going fishing, there are some saltwater grey mullets that have been adjusted to freshwater conditions.. I remember one time where a 1lb mullet was swimming at the surface and BOOM disappeared by a topwater strike in front of my eyes .. No muskies or pike exist in that lake..only roach, bream, mullet, tilapia, carp and..BASS..So what the h*** i ll give it a try
