E-bay gurus
I've spent a good bit of time studying "auction psychology" over the past 10-12 years, and it makes a big difference in a bidder's success rate. Start two listings for the same $100 item, one at $.99 and the other at $100 and see which one receives more bids. In general, more people will bid on the listing with the lower starting price, but they'll also typically bid the auction higher than the $100 opening bid on the second item. Ebay users are a funny lot, and many have a hard time losing. They'll get involved in bidding wars, let their ego take over, and spend WAY more than they should. The problem with setting a BIN price without a reserve, is (unless something has changed) the BIN goes away once a bid is placed.

hook size
X4 I keep 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0 hooks in my terminal tackle box, but the 3/0 is what I use the most. The others are only for certain applications, like 3" & 4" stick baits, finesse worms, toads, and Rage Tail Shads.

I agree....The question is , Do you want to sell ? Not only is he fishing for the lowest price, but you are fishing for the highest price. Exactly. He's probably just seeing if it's worth his time to bid on your auction. If your reserve is higher than what he's willing to pay, why should he waste his time bidding? JMHO, but by not answering his question you lost a bidder and a potential sale.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. Why keep it a secret? How does that benefit you in any way?

terminal tacklequestion
I use Norman 'Speed Clips' for all of my cranks... http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_1625____SearchResults ...but my hooks and spinnerbaits are always tied direct with either a Palomar or San Diego Jam Knot.

Kistler Swimbait Rod
I picked up a Magnesium TS "Alton Jones Crankbait Special" a little while ago, and I like it alot. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I was in need of another rod.

Citica 200E vs Curado 200E
Check the Shimano forum. According to Bantam1, you can use the gear set from a Citica to make a 6.2:1 Curado. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1235245772

Need a small rechargable 12v to run a fish/depth finder.
If you're in the Atlanta area, I have a brand new jetski battery and brand new battery box that came with my kayak that I'd be willing to trade for pretty much anything fishing related.

BPS Extreme Rods
Not calling anybody out, and definitely not annoyed by folks asking questions. It's the new blood that keeps a site like this one running. Maybe my post came off as being unnecessarily harsh, but I call 'em as I see 'em. I was mod on a chopper forum (motorcycles, not helicopters) for several years and watched peoples' opinions become "fact" by others repeating what they had read. If you have no first-hand experience with a product, technique, location, etc., don't present your opinion as fact. It's just that simple.

BPS Extreme Rods
Yet in this discussion on Mojo's you say you haven't used yours yet... http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1228852889 This is, IMHO, the biggest problem with this forum and others like it. There are too many people with little to no actual experience with certain products recommending them to others as the best thing since sliced bread. : I'm sure you're happy with your rods, but do us all a favor and try them out before you go recommending them to others.

BPS Extreme Rods
I've bought three Extremes in the past year and a half (still have two), and they're not too bad if you can get them on sale. I'd pass @ $100, but for $50-$70 they'd do fine for spinnerbaits. For cranks, however, I'd pass on the Extreme and pick up a BPS Crankin' Stick. Ridiculous. True, they're not the most sensitive rods out there and kind of heavy, but I feel they're comparable to anything else in their price range...as long as we're talking about their sale price, not their retail price. They're fine for things like spinnerbaits and topwater lures, which don't require alot of sensitivity. I've got a 6'8" ML Extreme 'Woo Daves' dropshot rod that fantastic for weightless Trickworms and Floaters, and well worth the $79 I paid for it.

CASTING
Are you talking about distance or accuracy? IMHO, accuracy is more important and can only be improved with parctice, but your rod/reel/line/lure choices have a major impact on casting distance...and no amount of practice can make up for poor equipment choices.

Dick's Sporting Goods!
Just got back from the brand new Loganville, GA Dick's, and I'm extremely impressed. Their fishing section is HUGE compared to the other DSG's in the Atlanta area, and well stocked with quality gear. Their spinnerbait section is a bit smaller than the others, but their crankbait selection more than makes up for it. I finally have decent local option besides BPS. They're each about 15 miles from my door, so I can be at either one in 20-25 minutes.

Rattle Head spinnerbait question
I really appreciate the help, guys. I'm sure the widget will be long gone by the time I actually need it, but it's cool that they put it in the package.

Rattle Head spinnerbait question
What is the little extra widget in the pack with the spinnerbait? It kinda looks like a plug to keep the hook from rattling, but I'm not sure... :-/ I don't know what the image on the colorado blade is, but it's kinda creepin me out. :-/

Wacky Rigging, My Way
I haven't tried this method, but it seems as though the same thing could be accomplished by putting one end of the rubber band on the hook, wrapping the other end around the senko like a sling, and then putting the other end of the rubber band over the hook. If it worked, it would make the process tool-free.

Making lipless crankbaits not rattle
Seems like it would be easier to just buy a non-rattling lipless crank like the Sebile Flatt Shad. http://www.***.com/descpageSEBLB-SFS.html

Zoom trick and finesse
Doh! I'm ordering more right now...along with a couple other things that have worked for me in the past year. ETA: If you guys haven't ordered from Brent yet, you need to. The products work great, the prices are fantastic, and the service is even better. How many other dealers would take the time to let their customers know when they're running out of their favorite color? Thanks Brent.

Zoom trick and finesse
For the guys who like using the Trickworms weightless, you really ought to give *** 6" Floater a try. It's similar in action to the Trickworm, but with a much slower fall since it's an actual floating worm. The 'Wat Happened?' color worked rather well for me in the late summer/early fall, and I'm sure it'll work just as well this spring...maybe even better. <---This one was caught using on a Floater, twitching it over the little lilly pads and letting it fall into the holes.

B and R outlaw rods?
Shimano bought Loomis 12 years ago. If they haven't moved them over seas by now, I wouldn't worry about it happening anytime soon.

"Pool our Money"
I think 3 or 4 of us could pool our money and buy GM...but why bother? We'd be better off spending the money on Zebco 33's, Ugly Stiks, and Banjo Minnows.
