  1. Mine are blue as well, but the black ones were the firsst to pop up when I googled 'Keen Newport H2'.
  2. There's no way I could something like that fishing around here in the warmer months. I usually wear these...
  3. I just bought a couple of these... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0030351119787a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCHFEAT_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntt=rapala+hooks&Ntk=Products&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&selectedPerPage=36&N=0&_D%3Asort=+&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form1&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 and matched up the hook sizes.
  4. Most of my stuff showed up yesterday. I don't know why they insist on shipping a baseball cap in an envelope. It now looks as though the mailman has been using it as a seat cushion for the past week. It's unwearable by anyone who may care about their appearance. Hopefully my tacklebag will arrive in better condition.
  5. I could never find anything from Abu Garcia with that info, so I measured it myself. I pulled about 6' of line from my EXT-Pro, marked it at the levelwind, turned the crank one complete revolution, and then marked the line at the levelwind again. The actual IPT of a 6.4:1 EXT-Pro with a full spool is 27.5"-28", which is right in line with most of the low-pro BC's in the 6.1-6.4:1 range.
  6. I browsed for a little while today, but found very little that interested me. Picked up a couple KVD spinnerbaits in Bluegill and Smoky Shad, a Strike King "Midnight Special", and one lonely little Bomber Flat A.
  7. The best thing to do would be to find a website that specializes in that particular brand/model of firearm and start checking the old 'for sale' posts. Blue Book prices are just a guideline and have very little bearing on what a firearm actually sells for. What kind of guns are we talking about? I may be able to point you in the right direction...
  8. http://www.***.com/descpageRDCSTCROIX-SCMJCR.html Free shipping over $50, and fantastic service...but they're apparently not in stock
  9. I've been switching between braid, flouro, and mono for my baitcasters and have settled on 12# Sufix Elite for pretty much everything except frogs and jig. It's limp, strong, readily available, and reasonably priced. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewsufixelite.html
  10. Nothing right now. Got laid off on Friday. >
  11. Got the "problem" taken care of. The dealer I bought mine from gave me a two-part receipt. One part has the full retail price on it (for warranty work and special offers) and the second part shows the amount I actually paid for it. I have no use for a hand-held GPS, but for the price of shipping, why not?
  12. Check the Shimano forum.
  13. I've been cleaning out my tackle boxes and replacing all of my 'lipped' cranks with Bomber, Bandit, and Rapala. I've never gotten a bad one from these three. As far as lipless cranks go, the jury is still out. I've picked up several Red Eye Shad, Yo-Zuri Hardcore Drum, Spro Aruku Shad and Aruku Shad Jr., Jackall TN/60 and TN/70, Xcalibur XR50, Rapala Rattlin' Rap, Sebile Flatt Shad, and the obligatory Rat-L-Trap. I don't know which is "best" at this point, but I'm sure I'll get it figured out by next winter.
  14. I may be wrong, but I doubt the guys working the reel counter have the authority to price match. That customer would be far better off going to the customer service desk and asking them to take care of it. I've never had them refuse to match their catalog or online prices.
  15. It does seem to pop up every couple months or so, doesn't it?
  16. The free GPS offer is only good if you pay over $169.95 for your Patriarch. They're available on Ebay for less than $150 if you don't mind bidding and waiting, or around $160 if you hit the 'Buy It Now'.
  17. I signed up 2/8 and haven't gotten anything from them except a confirmation/welcome email. >
  18. It's about $20 beyond your limit, but I think it's well worth the extra $$. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_102398_100003001_100000000_100003000_100-3-1 As far as rod length/power/action, that depends on your lake conditions as much as type of lure. I find 6'6" - 7' M/F or M/XF just fine for soft plastics as long as you're in open water with minimal cover, and a 6'6" - 7' M/F would also be decent for cranks as well.
  19. If you're in the Atl. area, check Sports Authority. Every one I've been in has had the Hybrid in the clearance bin. The one in the Lilburn/Snellville area has a bunch of it.
  20. Probably the last of the '07 models they've been unloading for the past year. Good score. I picked up one of the 6'6" MH models last fall and absolutely love it. It has replaced my Shimano Crucial as my "go to" rod.
  21. I think you really need to handle the Fritts in person before buying one, though. It's not the most comfortable reel in the hand, and is heavy and rather large.
  22. 3-in-1 oil, or any other light machine oil would be fine. Heck, even fresh motor oil would be better than WD40.
  23. I'm right handed, but can cast with either hand. I usually cast with my right, and reel with my right, even with my spinning reels. IMHO, it's no big deal to switch hands on a BC rig since I palm the reel and would have to change hand position anyway.
  24. According to UPS's site, mine should be here in a couple hours. I bought the 6.4 wide spool version. I know I'll probably never need 160/12, and doubt I'll actually spool it with that much line, but I just like having the ability. If I like it as much as I think I will, I may buy a narrow spool model for soft plastics.
  25. When I saw this thread I thought he was talking about this Fat Boy...
