4/0, t-rig weightless, initial insert is in the end with the tentacles. Have fun
  2. Man,...all jigs straight to braid...Seems like the fish would just see that line and run? Maybe I need to respool a reel and force myself to fish jigs straight from braid, and see the results. Interesting.... Why would fish be afaird of line ? I learned a lesson once fishing in clear water with 8# f/c for smallies. Out of curiosity I switched my 5'' Senko over to my baitcaster rig w/ 50# braid. The next two fish were the biggest of the day pushing 4#s each. I don't use leader anymore. unless I'm on rocks.
  3. Depends which rod you match it with. "Balance"
  4. Too bad, I would have paid you for em.
  5. Love braid on my jig, but also caught 2X 18'' + smallies on senko w/ 50# braid in clear water the other day. Love braid.
  6. Great way to catch bass, get ready to have a lot of fun. Wait til you feel the weight before you set the hook.
  7. Been using both 3 & 4 inch Ikas as my go to bait lately and been slaughtering the LMB & smallies, but have also caught 20'' Trout, huge bluegill, perch, & even a 10 lbs Carp on the Ikas. Pretty versitile
  8. Greed? ;D How is selling a product that you produce through your own website greed? Comrades, anytime you capitalists pigs profit by your free enterprise economy, we classify that as GREED!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
  9. de-barbing the hook can help.
  10. I right there with you FourBizz...I calculated the retail value of all the G Loomis and Shimano equipment I own and I was amazed how much money I spent. I was planning on buying at least 5 NRX's, but I guess I will have to support my fishing equipment purchasing addiction with another company. As I said before, it is such a shame, because I really do think they make quality products. I just wish the "overall service" I thought I was buying into was still there. Bottom Line, Shimano doesn't have a monopoly on fishing gear. I too have about 3K worth of it with glx rods & shimano reels. But I also have other brands of gear. The NRX rods were going to be an automatic upgrade for me, but this new policy is going to be a deal breaker for me. >
  11. Might want to wait and look at the new G. Loomis.
  12. I must not have seen your price list. I didn't see anything over $500. I saw a few rods right at $500 the rest were less in the price list I saw anyway.
  13. We go thru cycles with that bait. Some years we catch so many it gets to be not a challenge. The last couple of years ? not so great.
  14. For many of us in Idaho it's a pretty big deal
  15. Fat Albert Twin Tails
  16. I run into a few incidents with jerk while fishing but you can 10X that while hunting. It's worst there, cause we all have guns in our hands.
  17. My son works in the fishing Dept. in a well known store. He told me "Berkley Sensation" has had nothing but GREAT reviews by the customers that have tried it. Many return to re-purcahase. My other son tried it out and so far say's its fine. A little too early in them game for a full report from him. Very strong, memory fine, knot strength no problem. I plan in trying it out next spool I get.
  18. x10, but add Trick Worms. Don't over look the smaller 3'' ika
